Anyone else not seeing the option to select class 3 after updating to the latest firmware? Me and my bud are both missing the speed limit setting in the menu.

Located in USA
Firmware version: 00.12.05.07
App version: 1.3.22

options off in US.
Nope. 100% fresh updates a few days ago out of the box, and I have it.

On a side note, my bike does not have the motor temp option in setting like some have. So im sure when putting these together. The same parts were not used on all the bikes as far as electronic computer parts. So we have slightly different menus.

This would also explain why some the VPN still works, and others it does not work.

Appreciate the reply. Also had another question. Power is 750W max or is there an option to change to 1000W?

Got my bike today and updated the firmware. See attached photo.

Did you figure this out in the end? Having switchable options for speed/class would be useful to me, but I don't want to upgrade to the latest firmware and relocate from NZ if it's unlikely to work...

I just did the vpn trick. It unlocked 28mph but I still dont have the option in the menu

Where did you VPN to? From what I can tell the class 3 options only show if you are in the US, not other regions...

I am in US with latest firmware. Specially in So Cal. For class 3, it's just speed adjustment where where you can increase the speed to 28 mph. Default settings is 20 mph. You just have to scale it up. Once you go beyond 20 mph, it gives warning.

Not sure if this was what you were ask.

From what I had read, by default it was limited to 15 or 20mph by default, and to enable faster speeds, you had to go into the menus and select class 3, which would unlock 20+MPH. When you powered off, it would revert to the lower speed limit.

Did you eventually get the option? I got the same problem. I can VPN to Hongkong and unlock it to 28 mph but no speed limit options when I VPN to USA

After I got my bike! (8/1 or 8/2), I updated firmware and was able to get the option above.

Mh I still got nothing. Maybe you actually have to be in the US? Or do I need to VPN to a specific state?

Anyone got the Speed Limit option while not actually being in the US and just VPNing there?

2025 PL Carbon Pro bike up to date with Devices Version 00.12.0507. iPhone App Version v1.3.22. Bike display does not show the Speed Limit line item, goes from Advanced Features to General. GPS shows bike in USA. Motor cuts out just shy of 20mph. Bike dropped shipped from China by Ron Hack.

None of that really matters, only thing important is that you have the latest updates.

Lots of people screw this up, by thinking they can use usa from another country and it will work as easy as that.

They would be mistaken

I did update to the latest version. Both Smartphone and Bike. Do I need an american AppleID because there is an extra update for USA? Can you explain?

"Something" is different between the US and rest of world bike pairing process.

The rest of the world, the app looks at your GPS location (on android anyway) and the location of your IP address, and sets the limits according to that.

For the US, it appears to be that if you have a non-US bike, even physically being in the US won't enable the class options in the menus.

What that "something" is, has not been figured out - it could be slightly different hardware, or firmware on the US supplied bikes, or something else unknown.

If you are in UK trying to use a USA address, it wont work. You will need to delete pairing and use a VPN with no wifi to get usa settings in another country

If you are here in usa, then it should already be working, every time you power on, it will default to class 1, and you manually have to switch it on the bikes settings

Working on setting up my bike. Purchased direct from Amflow in the US.

Out of the box -
Devices Version. 00.11.01.05 >
App Version. v1.3.23

Connected with PIA VPN to Hong Kong (WiFi off)Paired the bike updated the app

Now at
Devices Version. 00.12.0507 >
App Version. v1.3.23

I’m not seeing the speed limit either. I may try to unpair and try with Nord VPN to see if I can get the 28MPH.

I did look at the FAQ

  • What is the speed limit of the Avinox Drive System?

The Avinox Drive System automatically adjusts its maximum speed to comply with the regulations of the country/region you are in. Speed limits for major countries/regions are as follows:
    European Union: 25 kph
    United Kingdom: 25 kph
United States: 32 kph (20 mph)
    China: 25 kph
    Australia: 25 kph
