Seriously. The crash has torn the the downtube and motor guard clean off the bike. You do realize, that is where the battery is housed ?Seeing an Amflow on fire brought to my attention their batteries aren’t UL Listed. Wonder if the new stuff will have better tested batteries.

I kind of lost interest when they showed their hand, and saw they were not releasing an Enduro. But my LBS seems to think, prices will be similar to the existing model, with possibly a AUD$1K increase.Has anyone in Aus seen any local pricing on the new models yet?

Whilst the picture is reporting as AI. The video appears to be real. Spokes and Tyre Text appearing correct.A.I. at at its best... On April 1st too
Video is A.I. tooWhilst the picture is reporting as AI. The video appears to be real. Spokes and Tyre Text appearing correct.
That said. The bike appeared to have been in a violent accident on concrete steps, that has damaged the downtube at the bottom. You can clearly see the torn off downtube guard on the ground.
Sorry I cannot embed the video. But here is a link.

Sorry. But we'll have to agree to disagree. There are too many accurate details. Like smoke coming out of the holes under the top tube. Very few people even know these holes exist, and are not plugged. Certainly AI would not have factored this in.Video is A.I. too
You can use the tools to detect, or just use logic
Think about it - if battery burns, carbon frame will deform and melt, and battery will fall out or move out somehow. Smoke will be coming from the openings, ie where the display or headtube is. Amflow doesn't have opening for the battery at the bottom, and it's impossible for flames to come out @ the bottom, without deforming any other parts on the frame.
Carbon fiber is not flammable on its own, and if battery burns, there will be a ton of smoke and since battery is not exposed, not possible to have flames unless frame is deformed or opened somehow. In the video/picture bike is 100% perfect, except of course A.I. flames.
And of course, look at the users who post this. Just by looking at other videos you'll get the story

Regarding the poster. He seems like a regular MTB blogger.
Anyway. Any battery in a concrete environment crash that tears off the downtube guard is going to suffer a heavy crush impact. So AI or not. What happen is expected, no matter the testing, unless you run LFP cells. And I don't see any of the factory bikes running them. They don't have the energy density.
The jury is out at Deepfake. 75% chance it's fake. That does mean 25% chance it's real. This video was all over Facebook on April 1st. If you don't believe that's A.I., sorry...
If you ever crashed on the bike, no chance in the world you tear downtube perfectly in the middle. But long story short, I think it's silly to make some theories after going over A.I. generated video.

Pretty cool! Curious, which site are you using for the above?
It would be interesting to know whether the range extender is compatible with the M1 models9xx wh battery will come later. For now 700wh non removable on 9th, on the 15th removable battery, most likely 800wh. On the 9th we will know about the range extender and other accessories. Dont ask how I know.
It will not be compatible. Also size M new bikes can'tIt would be interesting to know whether the range extender is compatible with the M1 models
i rather have my home country certify them. your safe for consumption food tells allAI or not- I feel a lot more comfortable with a UL Listed battery when I keep my bike in my home. Maybe the Avinox 2027 MY will include a properly certified battery?
You know, you can ride the standard bike and not worry about the batteryAI or not- I feel a lot more comfortable with a UL Listed battery when I keep my bike in my home. Maybe the Avinox 2027 MY will include a properly certified battery?
100%! The UL listing is something most people do not know about. I'd never use a charger (even a phone charger) or battery with no UL listing, and especially not one on an ebike....those things have burned down garages and homes than any EV could.AI or not- I feel a lot more comfortable with a UL Listed battery when I keep my bike in my home. Sounds as you're in the wrong forum. If you're so worried about the above, eBike is definitely not for you.100%! The UL listing is something most people do not know about. I'm open to other trusted organizations' testing. Does your home country certify Amflow batteries as safe?i rather have my home country certify them.
You're missing the point. If you're already shopping for eMTB or a car, it's common sense to discount models that aren't as safe as others.Sounds as you're in the wrong forum. If you're so worried about the above, eBike is definitely not for you.
That's the same as "I want to drive a car, but I'm concerned I'll get in the accident on the road".
Some things in life unfortunately come with "things can happen". Whether you're okay with it or not, is a different story. In case of the car above, just take public transportation. And in case of the bike with the battery, just ride standard analog bike.
I am ABSOLUTELY in the right forum. I have owned many ebikes...ALL are UL listed and not had any issues. In fact, bikes shops here will not even service e-bikes that are not from major brands and UL listed chargers and batteries. Some will not even service ANY ebike and if they do, they will not store them overnight. This is a matter of not wanting to spend the money and time to have things tested. It is similar to CE certifications and other certification for bike helmets. I refuse to take risks that are unnecessary and especially with electronic items that can overheat and cause fires. No thanks! I have superior options, will take those, and now even warn about Amflow not being UL certified. I'm part of a trail club of almost 700 riders. While a minority ride eMTBs, we talk about them often, and I am glad this was brought up. I had no idea that Amflow batteries were not UL listed. I am now also assuming that their chargers are not.Sounds as you're in the wrong forum. If you're so worried about the above, eBike is definitely not for you.

You know there was a recall at one point on specialized bikes due to a few reported fires….I'm open to other trusted organizations' testing. Does your home country certify Amflow batteries as safe?
I believe Specialized only started using UL Listed batteries in 2025 MY bikes. Perhaps you're mentioning a reason why they moved to them? You know there was a recall at one point on specialized bikes due to a few reported fires….
