New Amflow Models?

Curious about the built in speed sensor in the new models... if I prefer to use a different brake system, will the old speed sensor work so I am not locked into that rotor?

I've watched quite a few videos this morning of bikes using the new motor and whilst the Amflow has the speed sensor as part of the brake rotor, other bikes were set up with the separate speed ring on.

Q3/Q4 from what I was told by someone who works in the Industry for a brand that has an upcoming Avinox bike due for release.


All the other things I was told have been confirmed today by the official release so no reason to doubt it.

Is the 700w battery made with so much better cells, that you get the same or more range as the "old" 800w ? Seems odd they did that ro me.

Is the rumored 900w battery going to be on the internal or external model frame?

The PR are an incredible deal. For $6800 with the PR Carbon Pro, you have 100Wh more and same components as the $8000 PX Carbon. For $5000, you have lesser components but incredible price point you can grow into. For both of those, many upgrades over the previous gen including the M2/M2s, autoshift feature, and the geometry is fully adjustable to your linking whether you want all terrain or more enduro like geometry.

They seem like a much better value than the old PR even at current discounts, and better value than the PX.

Am I missing something? The PX base you pay $1200 more to get same components than PR Pro, a worst battery and non removable (but you save a couple kg). Not sure to understand the postionning.

The main advantage of the 700Wh is energy density (ie weight per Wh), form factor, and of course its ability to push out energy at 1,500watts which the old style batteries can’t do.

@Rob Rides EMTB video editing and quality is insane. One of the best emtb reviewers out there imo.

Amflow looking like they are real players in the game to me. Everybody keeps trashing them saying they were just a bike to showcase the Avinox, but the bike is simply a solid bike and now it looks even better. So stoked on amflow and avinox right now.

I've seen a few tests say they didn't even get 1000m of climbing from the new system in higher modes. So yes, definitely would like less BS like "the 700Wh lasts as long as the old 800Wh", which a LBS repeated like 5 times.

Stunning bike though (PX) but I'm much more likely to grab a base PR which at 4500 even if I only keep the frame, electronics, seatpost and drivetrain is still an incredible deal.

Picked up a px pro today. Very nice looking bike. It’s my first ebike so I don’t have much to compare it to but it is very quiet and smooth, crazy power in turbo. store had $600 off as a launch offer so that sealed the deal.

That base model "PR" is an industry-crushing deal at $5K delivered. You're basically just paying for the AXS power cable and they give you the whole rest of the bike for free! That's insane!

I'd been wondering about the 600wh range extender/piggyback fit issue too, so thanks for confirming that they interfere. It would be nice if they made a smaller extender too, now that we know their software and plug can support one. Do you really think you'd use the full 600wh, or is it just that you don't have any other option?

If you think Amflow is particularly dialed in on the shock tunes, it is possible to find out the tunes Amflow uses and order a non-piggyback shock with the same damper tune and aircan size. I wouldn't be so sure that they really have it optimized, so it's possible that you would actually get better performance ordering a custom tuned shock, that takes into account the bike design, your weight, and typical terrain, from a suspension shop.

Same for me here, PX PRO looks amazing, but with 700wh it's a no go, I really need a bigger battery, also having a range extender option would be amazing, every brand already has this option, better to end a ride with a lot of battery % left than to have to cut the ride short because of running out of it

If anything ,the news yesterday makes the 900Wh much less likely to appear anytime soon, they arn't using new small cells (21700) in the 700Wh and the energy density isn't that good. So as many people already said, the new cells that would enable a 900Wh in the same package as the 800Wh, announced at the end of last year, are probably not available to the bike industry and will need considerable certification.

the px carbon had lower grade suspension and gears than my previous bike so I probably would have felt like I needed to upgrade down the track, but it does seem like great value on the px carbon. Not too much I want to change on the carbon pro. Bonus that they are now a mullet. Picked mine up for $13399 Aud.

Just going to budget another couple three G's to the cost of this thing when I buy mine. Wheels (not a mullet guy personally), brakes, fork... when the starting price is 5K, makes it easier to dump an additional $3,500 in it to get what you like.

lol, I'm running XTR on my Levo. I'll try the Gustav out, but they may get replaced if I don't like them.

I went to the local Amflow dealer specifically to look at the PR models....and was told they aren't being released to the dealers until the end of July? They had the new PX in (and PL) but like I told him I want the removable battery as it suits my needs better. Anyway the end of July was what he was saying and said I was the second person enquiring about the PR today, oh well more time to save the pennies.

Annoying there are no small and they start from medium size. Hopefully there will be more cheap options in smaller frame sizes, may be able to get a good deal when other brands end up on clearance.
