New Amflow April 9 specs

What is not fine is less battery capacity, despite more power.
And with samrprice
We don’t have any confirmation on battery and it’s certainly not going to be less battery than what’s already on the bike. If the speculations are correct (which we need to be clear, it’s ALL speculation) than there is a lighter, more efficient battery/motor system coming, along with a removable battery version for those of you who enjoy sitting on a bike saddle for more than 40 miles. I, for one, am not interested in that.
Removeable battery option doest increase the range 😀.

Makes the ebike heavier so it actually decreases the range, together with more powerful system.
Increased efficiency of the motor might help a little. There is no thing like increased efficiency of the battery really. It can charge faster, be lighter but 700wh is 100wh less than 800wh. Only gain is less weight which might very slighly recompensate but nowhere enough to fill the gap of 100wh.

Unless tested and proven wrong, i take it as marketing BS that is aimed at people who dont have technical knowledge in this area. I see a lot of posts here repeating this marketing jargon.
They need to convinve the customer that they are getting better deal by paying same price for smaller battery.

I might wait until next year for the 930wh+ battery if it wont come this year.
All the other improvements are great and very welcome - thatt they amflow/avinox is taking thr feedfack on board.
And they kick the competition in the b*lls with the very first version being so good.

Everyone has different needs, so i guess to reach larger audience, offering 700 / 930+ / Range extender / removeable battery would be a sweetspot.

It might all still come true this year hopefully 😀

Amflow PX Carbon Pro Lunar Stone Gray

Avinox M2S Drive Unit: 130 N·m Nominal, 150 N·m Peak
Avinox Display: 2-inch OLED Control Screen
Avinox Integrated Battery: 700 Wh
Avinox Wireless Controls: Right and Left Sides
Avinox Fast Charger: 12 A / 508 W
So they have dropped from an 800 wh battery to a 700 wh,interesting!

Rob's latest video on the Mondraker Zendit has the new system, battery and motor, you can see how much slimmer the down tube is due to the new battery. The things we can expect will be lighter and more cell dense battery, hence smaller down tube, and I would expect the new motor to be rattle free and probably more powerful !

For me the power isn't important but rattle free would be fantastic. I would expect the new motor to have the same bolt pattern as the M1, however I doubt they will sell it as an upgrade. It will be so manufacturers don't have to retool their current M1 bikes to take the new system. Although that might be mute as manufacturers would really want to slim down the down tube to really capitalise on that smaller battery. Would be nice to be able to just buy the new motor and switch it out with the M1, but cannot see that happening.

Yes, great solution for those who are happy with 700wh, no doubt!!

Id rather have thicker frame and 1000wh single batter than 700wh in a sleeker frame and 300wh range extender.

Cant please them all 😀

Saw the bike in person yesterday a youtuber was on it. took me awhile to notice difference. M2 casing matches the pics leaked and it had adjustable chain stays and headset cups. the photo a bit above is what it looked like .

Any rattle ? ;)

i didnt grab it off him to shake it 😂 the one take away i got was the large looked longer than old one he did have the chain stays in the longer setting though.
haha, fair enough - did it look much different from the current model ?, for example based on what your saw would you consider an upgrade ? ;)

i dont own the amflow but it didnt look massively different to me i guess it depends if you want the extra adjustments it offers. Id say its like stumpjumper vs stumpjumper evo

Some people actually ride their ebikes through the steep mountains and like more battery. Removable batteries are great if you wanna carry one. A lot of my friends do. I like an extender. Miles mean nothing when you climb 7000ft to 8000ft vertical. You can drain a battery in way less than 40 miles. I know you've laughed at a few of my posts but you have no idea how I ride or where I ride. I ride in eco a lot and still use a lot of the battery climbing super steep trails in 25-30 miles. If Amflow wants to cater to more people they can build bikes with all different size batteries. They can even do extenders for some of us that ride in the mountains where we cant charge our bikes while riding and dont want to carry an extra battery.

This is all super helpful. thank you. I had ordered the current base PL but canceled it to see the new model details.

I would consider paying more for the option of an extender, better rear suspension, geometry adjustability and of course more range at the same weight. I also want to maintain the 28mph option.

I don't really care about more power. None of my friends have anything that climbs faster, yet!
I also wouldn't buy a dedicated mullet frame and don't want to pay more for something with a 700wh battery if it has less range.

Today it looks like the price for a large PL went down to $6k in the US. I would expect the PX spec above to be over $8k since it comes with better brakes, rear shock, and AXS? We'll see. I also wonder if the current PL price will go any lower on the 9th?

Can anyone tell me any of those details?

All your questions will be answered in 2 days ;)

Pretty sure 700Wh is meant to replace the 600Wh as a premium option, 600Wh reserved for entry option bikes or slowly phased out(just a possibility). The 700Wh I am pretty darn sure will be only slightly ( max 100g)heavier than the 600Wh as the difference between the newer and older cells are minimal and of the same volume as the 600Wh, don't know about the form factor of it(could be the same could be different, looking at the downtubes of leaked pics it is different slimmer and longer.
Now I don't know what DJI's development direction is, what are they aiming at, do they want only light as possible, then the bigger cca 930Wh pack probably isn't in their portfolio. Now If they are going to challenge this part(range) of the market, as already written several times with the newest cells it is theoreticaly and physically completely possible to build a 936Wh pack just slightly heavier(max 100g) and in the same size or volume as the current 800Wh. I mean they would be pretty dumb not to offer a pack that has cca 130Wh more in the same size with just a slight weight penalty.

So because of just slight weight penaltys I say the 700Wh is the premium version of the 600Wh and the 930Wh for the 800Wh if it comes to life...some say 2027(development, testing and certification takes time).

Based on unofficial pre orders, UK prices for PX / PX Pro are £6499 / £8999 and are widely in stock in the smaller two sizes available from Thursday this week. Deliveries to UK shops of the XL/XXL seem to be taking longer, as far as I can tell

Taken from Amflow Website, increased contrast and brightness can see the details fairly clearly. Chain stay flip chip, revised shock mounting, bigger chainring, schwalbe tyres geometry looks a bit longer but hard to tell from photos.
That’s a shame it’s still got a curved top tube , that always put me off any bike , just not my thing , still looks like a gen 2 levo , going to launch night on Thursday, may look better for real

Hm. Maybe it’s true about 400er Range extender with roundabout 1,5kg..
Not with classic commercially available cells.

Currently theoretically a 400Wh REx at a weight of 1,5kg is only possible with similar(link) solid state battery tech specifically developed in the proper shape and dimensions for an emtb REx. Will leave the rest to your judgment...

Someone posted this on the "DJI Amflow Owners" Facebook Group page...

Found this on some random Chinese website that came up on my feed.
Google Translate gave me this info so take it with a grain of salt.

If you say so :)

I think the ability to mount any shock without fear of frame contact makes it a more attractive offering than V1. They’ve also switched it to MX as standard. It seems like, beyond the battery/motor system, Amflow took some public feedback into consideration when designing the revamp. The colorways are fine. Do people really get hung up on colors??
This obsession with colors is pure fussiness...

Wonder how many that unfortunately don't buy it since no removable battery.
