Marin County new e-bike owner looking for some fun

Hello lads and gents!
I (M37) just got (155mi ago) a new Orbea Wild FS and I've been hitting the local Novato trails, as well as China Camp. As fun as it is to explore, I'd love to meet with some ebikers to learn new trails, and just to meet new ppl. Alone is fun, but in a group is fun-ner.
Got some buddies on regular mtb's, and i feel they don't wanna go out as often for fear of holding me back.

I understand where you are at ...and its a little frustrating.
Im stuck in the middle too..of my long term friends who I ride with ..half have made the change to ebikes and some are years away from even considering it ..
My take is that I would rather reign in the speed I can achieve on my ebike to match the speed of my mates on mtb's rather than not ride with them at all ( up to 25 years of riding history with some ) ..but I do have rides with just emtb mates which ramps the overall fun factor up..
