Frame will be similar to the new Levo SL with NO sidearm (thank goodness). And will use the new Sram/Brose motor with auto-shift. The Sram/Brose motor fits the Gen3 Levo because they actually used it in the 2022 EWS-E race (prototype testing). In the podcast interview with Transition, they were discussing their new Transition Repeater PT (Sram/Brose motor) and mentioned that Sram/Brose used a Levo as a test mule.

Also, we were riding in Santa Cruz with a Specialized account rep and I tried to get the info out of him. I mentioned that the Levo was raced with the Sram/Brose motor in the 2022 EWS-E. He just smiled and didn't want to confirm it. But he did say that they are coming out with a new motor.

Or they are doing anything they can to move some alloy Levo's at a premium. Send the old inventory to the pain booth. Put on some O suspension and charge an extra $2K.
And TRP since Code sucks plus GX eagle T.

Same frame, new motor with auto shift and coast shifting.
Will be out within the next 6 weeks.
I have a suspicion that SAM bikes from your tube has one that he is testing, as he is going to be doing a motor comparison video shortly.
 
No can’t buy from Aussie. They won’t ship.
That's tooo bad. You could go to Australia, buy one, then take the bike back on the plane with you. But you'd have to ship the battery as "dangerous goods," which means that you'd have to find a company that is licensed to do that in Australia. That's what I did. It took some work, but I finally found a company that could ship the battery for me to Japan from Taiwan. I went to Taiwan last year, bought my Levo in Taipei, and then flew back with the bicycle and had the battery shipped separately. I used to live in Taiwan, so I kind of hit two birds with one stone by making it a short 3 day holiday and also a bike buying trip.
 
Yeah it’s an option but honestly trips to Aussie are not cheap even from New Zealand . Probably just pick up the ohlins edition. Was looking at a pivot shuttle am or Rocky Mountain altitude powerplay but both don’t have stock and the levo is better spec. Can’t justify the pivot as it 1500 more than the levo and lower spec other than carbon but it was probably my preferred option

Yeah, unless you make a short vacation out of it - e.g., visiting friends, etc. it is a lot of money. You're right, I think the Levo has better specs. I was also looking at Rocky Mountain. I decided to go with the Levo.

I'm not sure it will have a SRAM logo on it, but my guess is that it will effectively be the same the motor, but with spesh software that will have more tuning and modes (I believe SRAM version only gets 2)

Not in the Carbon Gen4 Levo.

In the new xxxx ... maybe ..
 
I’d like to at least see a mastermind upgrade for older Levo for sale given it’s now default on all models .. 2024 base alloy has it and 700w battery. As it’s no longer a spec difference they can now offer it as an upgrade option :)

Its like the new SL motors, specialized will not sell as an upgrade. They'd rather you buy a new bike than a TCU or motor.
 
Any news or rumours on the timing/ spec of the 2024 Levo? Inventory seems to be mostly sold of the 2023 Levos, so maybe a sign something new is in the makings.
 
..........so confusing referring to "bike years"!! Year of manufacture or season or model year??

Yes there are a few older bikes still for sale but Spesh has only just reduced the price of its "2024" ( current) bikes and all sizes/colours seem to be available. They also have significant discounts on the Kenevo and most of their road bikes. I dont see them launching "2025" models until they have warehouse stock reduction of existing bikes, and Im not sure their current price reductions are big enough to achieve that in time for a summer launch of 2025 models

What will a 2025 Levo bring? I think they have to deal with some of the existing motor and electrical weaknesses to maintain their position in the market. They are also now completely outgunned in terms of specification compared to the same price structure of competing brands. There is now, no Specialized LBS within 40 miles of me and yet their move to sell direct from their website has not been accompanied by "direct sales" type price reductions. Meanwhile they no longer have an un-assailable lead in terms of Geo or system integration which they had from 2019 to probably when the Bosch Smart System was launched in 2022. So some work to be done I reckon!!
 
Lots of the UK Comp Alloy and Comps sizes are sold out now.

Plenty of Expert/Pro/S-Works models in stock though.

I’ll bet they will have new battery tech, more WH, less weight. There is that company that just unveiled the 720WH per kilo battery…. Won’t be nearly that good, but I see more capacity and less weight….

Despite the anticipation following the motor's presentation at Eurobike 2023 the new Brose Drive³ Peak motor, there have been no presentations of new eMTBs with this motor, which could confirm that Specialized, as Brose's largest customer, is going to adopt it and wants an exclusivity period.

There was a new bike with a Brose motor due out, but I've no idea if that's still on the cards or not if sales are down.

The Gen3 Alloy was due to run in parallel with the Gen4.

The Gen4 Levo has the M40 plus great on paper specs but using conventional transmission.

Can't really share much as it will get deleted. Battery specs/weight look great and the bike offers good flexibility for nearly everyone.

Different TCU on the Gen4. When the mastermind came out, Spesh said they couldn't sell it separately due to shortages. In theory, moving forwards, there should be an excess of them so maybe Spesh will open things up a bit and earn a few pennies on the side letting people upgrade TCU's - or they might continue with their inbuilt obsolescence tactic and keep trying to stop people upgrading bikes as they'd rather people bought new ones.
