Well, deep joy. Just spent my morning cleaning bike and giving it a once over. Pulled the battery and surprise surprise there are tiny cracks appearing around the mount holes. I wad super happy to find them. So see what canyon have to say about this.....

Heard a dirty rumour that, new batteries are cracking. Any truth in this?

I've never had as many problems with a bike as I’ve had since I got my 2024 Strive:ON. This is definitely the first and last time I buy a Canyon.

Well give Canyon there dues, sent the pictures thrpugh of cracks and they have responded, offered me a replacement 900wh battery, ( plastic) or tje new Aluminium 800wh. Took the 800wh. So hopefully wont take long to arrive.

I would have preferred the newer battery from the recall and gladly waited and not taken any compensation had we known or been given the option. They should offer a trade in discount.

The New battery also comes with a different charger, will see what is what when it arrives, will give you guys a heads up. Will throw a couple of pictures in once it arrives

Well new battery and charger have arrived, certainly looks the business compared to the old ones. looks like Trwndpower arent the ones making this one. DARFON energy tech look like the manufactures. Its heavy about 5 kg.
