I average 17 miles per ride with 2,900ft elevation. I ride on average 300 days per year.

Don't know exactly but would guess around 3000ft.average on the ebike sometimes more rarely less ..as our riding is almost never the same route twice it's hard to tell...also on the outdooractive app my figures in terms of climbing/ ascent (we don't call it vert or elevation) varies massively to my mates strava figures although the distance covered is normally very close.. so where possible we always use Wayne's ( higher) data ☺️😁.
I only ride emtb now ..but the 20+ years of riding mtb's would probably yield the same results ..it just took longer .

Varies from ride to ride. As I commute on the same bike, my trips to/from work is 14-25km with a climb of 150-400m depending on the route.

When I'm out on the weekends, I usually ride 25-40km with climbs of 400 to 1000m.

Most of my riding these days is lunch break rides 1h to get 20km and 800m climbing (lots of short climbs). Or worse commuting with some detours to practice jumps, 10km with 200m climbs.

Every so often when family life allows, I go to the mountains on the weekend with my 800+600Wh batteries to do 40-60km with 1700 to 2500m of climbing.

A handful of times I have either borrowed a third battery or had access to a charger to get ~3300m over 70km of alpine riding done in a day. Probably the best days of my life...

Then a chairlift day at the bike park would be between 4000 and 8000m of descending. But it doesn't hit the same.

Last year I climbed 120.000 meters, an average 1.000 m every three days. Usually a 900 m climb on weekdays and 1200 on weekends.

Most of my rides range from 35 mins to 2 hours (with the odd all dayer) as I have to fit them in during the week while the kids are at school (and I have loads of other stuff to get done as well). Luckily that means 3-5 rides a week and don’t have to charge the bike more than once a week.

Looking at my date (when I remember/bother to record a ride) I get in 150-500m a ride depending on if I’m riding the local trails/trail centre or hitting up a bigger day somewhere.

I’d love to do longer days but I drop the kids off at 9 and have to back to get a parking space at 2:30 so limited.

I ride with a group twice a week. Min is 950 max around 1150. 625 battery and I generally kill it mostly turbo . Looking forward to new bike this week with 800 bat

My son's housemate is due to go up in one of those ..he's a design /problem solver for BAE systems .
I would live a spin in one probably be sick though. I'm not far from Lossiemouth so I do visit occasionally . Red arrows practice there as well. Not everyone's cup of tea.

Epic.

The most i have done in one day on a double battery burn (i have 400wh and 600wh) is 2138 mtr

But now I want to smash a 3000mtr day with a triple burn.... I could do starting with the 400wh Burn that, slap it on charge, burn the 600wh and by the time thats burnt grab the 400 again....

I always aim for at least 1000m.

That's on the KSL with RE, so 480Wh.

Let's consider three different rides, each with 1000m of height gain.

1 - a 50km XC ride on hardpack with gentle rolling hills of 20m height gain every km = 1000m total height gain

2 - a ride up and down a gravel fire track several times with constant gentle gradient and 1000m total height gain

3 - a ride up a mountain walker's path with continuous very steep rocky terrain, loose scree, rock steps, some pushing and carrying over obstacles required, total height gain 1000m

Same height gain in each case, but three very different rides of very different degrees of difficulty. (Other scenarios are available :).) I'm not sure that the vertical distance number on its own is that meaningful. Just my 2 cents worth.

I didn't realise how much climbing I do on one of my regular rides. Just over a 1000mtrs 20 miles today .Does it all have to be in eco mode .

This thread is for interst sake only. It's interesting to see....

My rides are typically number 2 on your list and I'd add a
4) Bike park "winch and plummet" dh and or enduro session. Ie ride up and bom down grade 5/6 tracks.

Just looking at some rides. The longer one was testing the range on new Levo so eco all the way ,nothing mega steep though. Glenlivet more vert but less miles . Tarland get over 1700 mtrs but only 24 miles on a good day but using more turbo. If I was 20 years younger the sky would be the limit on a Ebike.
