I live in Rotorua which is a great place for mountain bikes with over 200 km of single track that is easily accessible.
I bought a Whyte E160s in late November 2021.
This is my first e-bike but I have had muscle only bikes for years.

Down there this Saturday - for the Forest Loop, with hopefully a decent number. Only 4 confirmed for now, but a lot interested so hopefully this bit of rain will encourage them to come out on dust free trails.
Sadly, every time we have had a decent number turning up the weather has turned to shite or the gestapo has put us on lockdown.

We had a bit of rain today but no where near enough. A lot of trails are dusty enough to have less traction than normal. I think some rain is forecast but the trails still need plenty. Unless you are made of sugar, I wouldn't worry about rain. The forest loop is a nice ride. I prefer to come back via Taura & the Yellow brick road rather than Te Ara Ahi which is really just a footpath for that section. Watch out for falcons on Taura though, they are still nesting and have swooped down on us a few times.
