Levo Gen 2 Hey Specialized, when are geared rear hubs coming??

So Specialized when are you going to get rid of the rear derailleur, cassette etc... and get Sram or Shimano to do a proper light rear geared hub setup. That’s gotta be the next big tech development for eMTBs right?

Your half right, except it will be a gearbox built into the motor, not the hub. A decent gearbox system at the cranks has long been the holy grail, not only eliminating the derailleur, but also the heavy wight that a hub base system has, for MTB's, not just EMTB's

Shimano is working on such a system , and patented it last year
