A nice article comparing the Avinox vs the Bosch motors, for what is worth.

I just placed my order for my flash 35. I’m gonna write that for a while before I decide to do something in the rear so I’m curious how you feel with the hover. It’s down to that or a tellum or work something out with fluid focus as they are about 10 minutes from my house. Finally got my intend hover in. Will need to travel somewhere to try it as there’s snow here nowsaved a whopping 1.65lb over the live valve Neo coil I had on previously.

Looks great but this thing rides so light no need to get hung up about weightFinally got my intend hover in. Will need to travel somewhere to try it as there’s snow here nowsaved a whopping 1.65lb over the live valve Neo coil I had on previously.

I too like about 25% sag on the druid, feels good with a coil. You will want two sets of the bearings or just take them off the Vivid. You can use two adjustable wrenches (carefully) or use their socket tool.I have a EXT Storia shock from a previous bike. Currently it has a 575lb spring which the EXT spring calculator says should give me 30% sag. On the Vivid I’m liking a little less sag than that so I’m thinking I should try 600 or 625lb spring on the Storia. My lbs will lend me some prints to try if I ask nicely
For a quick change over of shock, what hardware will I need to fit to the Storia? I’ve not had the Vivid out yet so just pre-empting what I need to get prior to Xmas shut down of stores.

Just play about and you'll find settings that work for you, think my most powerful setting is still only around 70% of maxFirst ride in yesterday, I felt eco was okay but the jump to trail was massive. Anyone feel they have some good assistance settings I should try? I lean more towards range than power.
Also can you have mutiple profiles on this system? On my EP8 I had 2 profiles. 1 for max power hour rides and 1 for range.

| Mode | Power (W) | Torque (Nm) | Assistance Range | Notes |
| Eco | 200 | 50 | 3 | Default |
| Auto | 450 | 55 | 3-5 | Good for xc ride solo |
| Trail | 750 | 80 | 6-9 | Full Fat group rides |
| Turbo | 850 | 90 | 10 | |
| Boost | 60 sec |
I also have the Hover. I have LSC and rebound about half way, running 490 psi for my 95kg riding weight. Still just bottoming out on bigger hits.I feel like the assistance range would be better if all modes had it since you can simply put the upper and lower end on each other to ignore it all together on the auto and trail mode if you want.
I use almost the same settings. Never go above 750W though because I simply dont need it.
Another aspect of the assistance range is the steepness of the trail you are riding up. It feels unnatural when the motor switches the support based on the steepness of the hill.
@booostin I am curious of damper setup. I have been testing around with my hover monocoque for 4-5 rides now. The weather is pretty shitty. Most trails are just mudholes, so not much real testing with hard or loamy trails. Do you run the rebound on the fast side? Whats you weight/psi in the damper? I need around 450psi for 35% sag with around 100kg weight.
Without knowing your weight that's still a serious detune, really down to an SL's capability. You make me feel lazy but not enough to detune more, HAHA.This is the settings I am using currently;
Mode Power (W) Torque (Nm) Assistance Range Notes Eco 200 50 3 Default Auto 450 55 3-5 Good for xc ride solo Trail 750 80 6-9 Full Fat group rides Turbo 850 90 10 Boost 60 sec
I spend most of my time in Auto and use Trail as my Turbo, or when tired and wanting to eke out some more tails. The key for me is in the Assistance Range, this has the biggest impact on how fast the power comes in. The Avinox motor is 800% compared to Bosch, and most others, at 400% so if you want a more supportive power feeling, you need to dial this down.
I came from Spesh SL’s and a Bosch SX motor before this so I still want to have some rider input.
Personally I love the extra weight of the of the Core, good thing we live in a time with sooo many great options! The reach is 7mm shorter on the Core vs Lite. BB Drop is also 5mm more on the Lite vs Core. Think most of us would feel that if we did back to back runs. Slight weight advantage of the Lite also helping.
Gonna hazard a guess most would like the Lite feel more, but not enough to give up the 800 battery. That was my rationale, at least.
that usually happens when you increase fork length…If any of you guys follow Brain Cahal, he rated all 40 of the bikes that he rode this past year.
He rated both the E-Druid and the E-Core very highly, however he did rate the E-Druid a tier higher because he said he found the E-Core a bit short, which I found a bit interesting.
87Kg’s on an S3Without knowing your weight that's still a serious detune, really down to an SL's capability. You make me feel lazy but not enough to detune more, HAHA.
You must be able to ride forever on a charge.

I’m 6’2” on an S3. I’m using a 50mm stem and 40mm rise bars rolled fairly forward. Can you achieve a similar set of numbers by using a higher rise bar but dropping it down a couple of spacers on the steerer? This way you maintain the Stack height but gain some Reach? I keep thinking about trying this with a 50mm rise bar instead of the 35mm one fitted.
The monocoque as well? How much sag are you running? Sounds strange. I used a backpack with weights to simulate fittef weight of around 100kg and needed 450psi for 35% sag. So you Most likely Run around 30?I also have the Hover. I have LSC and rebound about half way, running 490 psi for my 95kg riding weight. Still just bottoming out on bigger hits.
That's what I've done on my S4, havnt ridden it yet though as I'm on holiday in Spain til the new year nowCan you achieve a similar set of numbers by using a higher rise bar but dropping it down a couple of spacers on the steerer? Yep the monocoque. I approximate sag, then run test laps on well known trails/drops where I know how much travel I should be using and adjust from there. I really don’t think you can get it dialled just on sag, there’s too much measurement error. I found a guide from Intend saying “100 psi per 20kg of rider weight” which seems to hold pretty true. The monocoque as well? How much sag are you running? Sounds strange. How does the rear end feel? Harsh or supple?
Where did you read that? Because spring rate is directly linked to the leverage ratio of the rear that is a pretty bold statements of them. They do say that 500psi is max or 105kg rider weight incl gear. I am around 100kg in the winter with gear right now.. normally 95kg in summer with less meat around the waistYep the monocoque. I’m keen to try it but I also have a load of suspension changes to try so I need to do one thing at a time or I’ll tie myself in knots…. Which I probably will anywayThat's what I've done on my S4, havnt ridden it yet though as I'm on holiday in Spain til the new year now
Your tune numbers are similar to mine as well, Eco is barely any assist for the days I'm out with some analogies as well. Still not actually that sure what the assistance range means on it mind you![]()
When looking at "Assistance range".... Low number is the amount of assistance provided on flat ground, high number is amount of assistance for hills. The range is how much the system can change depending on the incline and residence it's sensing. Easiest way to understand it is think backwards, if there's no range and both are set the same you get the same amount of assistance in all situations. If you want less assistance (better range) on flat ground move the lower value down and vice versa for the higher value on hills. So lower number, less assistance in layman's?
I didn’t appreciate this and the relationship to gradient, i thought it was related to effort from the rider. Everyday is a school dayWhen looking at "Assistance range"....
