Working off one of the worst kept secrets going around, I've created this thread to discuss all things pertaining to the soon to be released 2026 Forbidden eDreadnought.

The bike will be powered by the Avinox M2 motor and will retain the high pivot system of the analogue version. Longer travel (enduro version) than the eDruid (which was released last year).

I've just pulled the trigger on the following here Downunder:

  • Forbidden eDreadnought
  • Tier 2 - Tangerine Dreams
  • S4 / X-Large
  • Ridewrap
  • Large battery (as opposed to the small battery - with regard to battery sizes, look at the current eDruid offerings)
Hoping to drop here sometime in May.

After much discussion with my guy at the LBS, I'm 6'1", but I tried a lot of his bikes today and settled on the S4 (the difficulty is that the LBS doesn't actually have the geo specs for the eDreadie, so difficult to compare to the eDruid and other bikes) I had a crack on his Norco Range XL and that was comfortable.

So if you've thrown down a deposit, post it up!

Tangerine dreams is my new fave colour name :ROFLMAO:

I’m surprised you went with an S4. When I was at Forbidden HQ last May a few of the guys there are 6’3” and they even said they preferred the S3 frame size by how the bike rides.

With regard to my sizing, I'm really torn. My guy at the LBS is adamant that I'll be an S4 based on his experience selling the analogues.... We pulled up the Core vs Druid analogue specs, checked the Dreadnought analogue specs for reach and unfortunatley he doesn't have access to geo and specs on the Dreadie... his XL norco range e bike was comfortable and he reckons there isn't a great difference between the S4 and that... I dunno

I'm the same size as him and he reckons XL every time.... waddoes a man do??

Im 6,2 and have a S3 druid and Druid CORE wouldnt go larger. The Core feels longer than my normal one too which has a 480mm reach.

I ordered a Tier One in S2 and I am 180cm.
I tried the Druid Core in S3 and S2 and prefered the S2. I also dont know the geonumbers on this bike but assume that the S2 will fit me well. In general I prefere shorter bikes thats why I nowadays size down.

I hope the Tier One will also be available from April on and not from Fall as mentioned in the other thread.

I believe Tier one and two's are the first drop of bikes, Tier 3 & 4 not till later in the year.

That sort of makes sense. Get the high end ones out as a showcase.
I know my LBS has 12 confirmed orders with their shop just with the Dreadies, let alone the orders for the new eDruids placed, so I'd hate to guess how many have been ordered so far in Oz...all on a rumour and no official release yet!
I think the positive is that Forbidden should at least now have a rough idea of how many they need to supply and be getting production underway, instead of waiting until the official release.
My LBS was telling me there is another brand about to release a model with the Avinox M2 and have stock ready to go in their warehouse. Just can't officially tell anyone until the oofficial launch.
They'll then be able to immediately push that out onto shop floors.

Reach: 481
Stack: 682
HA: 63
Rear center: 478
Is that for the S3 or S4? If you can, can you post both for me. That would be appreciated.

I've also reached out to Forbidden and explained my situation with regard to height and riding style. Asked for their advice. Will see what they say. Many thanks Westy...

I would also echo you're an S3. 100%.

The Forbidden guys are 6'+ and designed around themselves (I'm assuming).

I had an S3 meat druid but in hindsight, probably would've went S2 in the eDruid. A size 2.5 would be my sweet spot.

Their ebike geometry is very progressive.

The tier 1 is a sram build, red/black fade.
The tier 2 is a fox build, orange/black fade.
Batteries were listed as the 600/800wh. I ended up with a 800, though I'd have preferred the 600.

I wouldn't stress on the sizing, at 6'1" your choice should be based on inseam length. 34"+, I'd go s4. Less, I'd go s3.

My understanding was that they've been produced, and dealer allotments sorted already.
So if your dealer is selling a preorder, rather than an allotment, it's likely to be a while before they see stock

My dealer is under the impression that the bikes he is allocated will land in May some time...🤣 I'm yet to be convinced and am open to being pleasantly surprised and super stoked if this eventuates 😁

I'd add 3/4 months on to whatever date you've been told after my Druid experience 😂

Unless they have learnt a lesson and actually have stock to go once they are announced like a few other brands have sitting waiting

I hear you, I am approaching with a healthy dose of skepticism as well.
I went with the tier 2 as well, in a s3.

Ollie of Forbidden is 6’ I believe. Brian Cahal is 6’ 1” (I think). They ride S3’s.

6’, but with long legs and arms. 34” inseam. I run my dreadnought v2 s3 with 30mm of spacers and a 50mm rise bar.

I have a brand new 600 in a Druid Lite on our shop floor that I’d happily trade you if I still have the bike then….lol
