Forbidden DreadNought E

Yes, I think the new cells are only in the cylindrical or the new removable battery. So all with fixed batterys, as I assume the dreadnought will also have if they share the same main triangle as the druid, will be of the „old“ type.
For me it does not matter, I dont need 1500W in boost mode instead of 1300W as the rest of the power numbers are all the same.

Given the review Rob did on the new Amflow and how the downtube is slimmer to the old model due to the new battery technology. However comparing the Core to the new Druid-e, there doesn't seem to be any discernable difference beteen the two downtubes, so maybe it's still the old battery. I'm therefore assuming it would be the same for the Dreadie... shame it it is.
Maybe but when the 900+ battery arrives later this year it'll likely use the newer cells so you'll be able to use max powwwaaa with that 😂

The Dreadnought will have the older 600wh or 800wh batteries. Also yes the derailleur is wired into the main bike’s battery.

Just had confirmation that the T1/T2 build will have M2S and T3/T4 will have theM2 motor.. Why oh why.... I get it's a price point thing but with the exception of Amflow who are offering a significantly cheaper bike no other manufacturer(I think) is taking this approach.
Power is power and you really don't need the difference between the two but for future resale etc the latest and greatest is where it's at obvs.

The other way about no? Like the Druid.

Tbf the M2 is probably still more than enough for anyone. If/when J change my M1 to an M2S it'll be massively downtuned like my current M1 anyway. I just don't get who and when you would need that much power
Totally agree on the power front but from a future state perspective and perspective of the dealers I have spoken to they're all a bit peeved by it. People being people will always want the latest and greatest.

Currently on a Gen 5 Bosch Cresty... contemplating on if I should keep this bike or go edready.

I have a 600wh and that's enough for my rides. If I don't upgrade, I might go 400wh and tune down the power and go for a lighter / easier handling setup.

I might be wrong about the market, but I feel like it's a miss not to have a smaller version of the 700wh battery. There's should be a total of about 8 cells.. cut that to 5 for about 440wh @ 2.2kg weight along with M2 (2.65 kg) and you have yourself a "SL" package @ 4.85kg. Limit the output to 85nm / 600w and you are still destroying all the actual SL motors out there.

For reference:
MotorWeightPower
Avinox M2 + "440wh" fake2.65 + 2.2 = 4.85kg110 nm / 1100w or reduce to 85nm / 850w
TQ60 + 580wh1.9 + 2.7 = 4.6kg60nm / 350w
Fazua + 430wh2.04 + 2.2 = 4.24kg60nm / 350w
Bosch CX gen 5 + 400wh2.82 + 2.0 = 4.82kg 100nm / 750w
Bosch SX + 400wh 2.06 + 2.0 = 4.06kg 55nm / 600w

Voltage is why. There's a minimum number of cells required.
The 4680's are limiting that way, in these applications.

It’s not about “need.” Shoot- I don’t “need” a bike at all!
You understand “want” though, right?

Of course.

I had a perfectly good Intense Tazer but then Forbidden announced the EDruid last Sea Otter, so ordered one and sold my Intense. Then went 6 months ebike-less 😂

Also went out and bought an Alpina because I wanted it, even though I had a perfectly fine car at the time.

Can someone post, I'm not on insty nor do I want to sign up....
Looks like Zeb gloss red front triangle and raw carbon rear.

Thanks. Hmm, thinking that might be the Tier 1, I think that was red. The Tier 2 is Tangerine Dreams so assuming same as above but the front triangle orangeish I guess...🤔 The photo at the dealer was generic for all of them, no indication of colourway, just the "name given to that tier". What would be nice if it had a deep english green rear with the tangerine.... Only two more days till the reveal down here....😜

I do want to see the colourway....I need to match my bling... stem cap, grips, valve covers, pedals, maybe a new stem....

looks a bit like the supernaughts colour layout, top of frame painted more than front half. Either way excited to see this, still feel they done new druid owners dirty speccing lyriks/36 and deluxe/floats to make it less aggressive.

I thought the top 2 tiers had the fox 38's? What the dealer had was really vague, price, size, tier and battery size. No specs or geo... which I reckon is pretty poor when you're paying big bikkies for the bike on rumour and the LBS can't really fill you in...

druids have podium and 36. Dread now has the 38s and zeb. CorE had zeb and vivid which is what i got and wanted, i actually cancelled my order for a newer druid as i found a core in stock. Glad i did now as id have to buy a zeb and lyrik off bat.

It comes with the Fox 38, now the real question is does it come with the 2026 Fox 38.

Damn, should have asked them that question. Currently questioning the max dropper post that can be inserted into the S3 and whether the bike will come factory ride wrapped (the eDruid comes ride wrapped in the high wear areas... so what does that actually mean?). Only a day to go here down under.....

Also, didn't someone say the front triangles are the same on the Druid/Dreadnought

So in theory you could stick a Dreadnought rear end on a druid 🙄😂
