Focus sam2 2019 Shimano 378wh battery upgrade

Has anyone upgraded the 378wh battery in the 2019 sam2? Shimano advertise the BT-E8035 as an internal downtube battery for the e8000 motor, but just wanted to sanity check before i order one?

It's not clear from your post, but the battery may be designed for the motor, but is it designed for the Focus frame?
Well, you did ask for a sanity check!

Like the man said, the Focus battery is purpose built smaller and lighter and the Shimano battery is too big to fit (probably).

The battery in the Focus is not a Shimano battery, it is only available from Focus. This has been known to create a few problems when having a warranty claim (is the motor. or is it the battery, or even the wiring that connects them?)
