The best cheap pedal out there is the HT PA03A - If you are new to MTB, or just dont want to spend much money, then they are hard to beat, and can be picked up for about 35 quid

HT PA03A flat pedal review - MBR

I have higher end HT's on my main bike, but these on all my others, and I cant think of any expensive pedal that's worth paying out more for other than looks wise. Supper grippy, great shape, and take a beating

Your sick! I knew the real reason that horse had a mask on had nothing to do with Flies.

Don't be afraid of reality Tim
it's just like here, honest ;)

Much more foot secure !!! NICE ! :-)

And a few hours later after some proper abuse ..

wet pedals.jpg

My feet felt totally planted the whole time, not a single slip or random foot re-position necessary. Front end washed out on one off camber bend because I was tense/crap and even felt "at one" with the bike through that.

Amusingly, for today's ride I thought I was meeting up for an organised Mountain bike tour of the black runs. I got there and there was a bloke with a trailer of bikes who was supposed to be just letting people go off on tours themselves with a map as part of a forest tour and other things going on .. As it was pi55ing down and it initially involved cycling up a steep hill .. no one was interested. Eventually two girls were brave enough and decided to go, so I got roped in as a tour guide instead. Poor girls ... Zimmer Tours .. not a good idea for anyone who wants to come back ... Anyway, I rode ahead whilst they plodded uphill and scouted the proper route - half of it was 8 inch mud death or steep as hell, or steep mud death .. so took a steady Zimmer trail route, tiny little old weaving tracks through the forest. Both did really well, much braver than I think I was on my first ride and were very excited that they were covered from head to foot with mud ! Or I suppose they could have been crying ... :-)

And now we're into mud wrestling threesomes!

Is ok it to offer a helping hand to struggling cyclists up hills, and where should we put that hand?

As I'm sure many can attest here.. mud wrestling on your own sucks !

The hand thing was a dilemma, with a bloke you can shove em in the back and give them a push. With a Dorris .. waddya do ?.,. (Feels he opens the floodgates to all the wrong answers..)

There’s no where you can touch them that wont cause some drama but when I do, I go for familiarity and head for the bra strap area.

Pedals got more science than one can think. Sensitiveness, power transfer, impact absorption ... and alloy one will be more rugged and better power transfer than plastic but got less impact absortion, a concave one has more grip and better ergonomics but lacks the middle support wich gives more sensitivity, higher pins are more grippy but your foot is more clipped so you can rotate toe without lifting it ... be careful when choose, be sure what you want!

And please JSN to clip pedals!

How can you ride that bike pedals that colour? I would estimate you are losing 30% durability and performance by not colour matching.

Have you thought about dairy farming as a career? If you could milk a cow like you can milk the threads on here, you will be a rich man! Keep them coming!

Turquoise - they were on offer ! I can't think why ... Not only that but they had dirty foot prints on, so presumably someone else felt the same way about the colour and returned them...

However, I believe we've established that I can't ride a bike no matter what pedals I have :-)

I'm thinking of going niche marketing . BULL MILK ! It's harder ... to get, and there's less of it .. certainly more exclusive. I'm starting to wonder if this is what @outerlimits means when he keeps talking about his desire to drink REAL MILK .... ??????? - That's his Milk drinking face ...

No desire
Every poll has to have that question, or it’s not an offical poll and thus the answers are null n void.
As for your pedal choice... ? The only thing I like about them is the colour. The mear fact they were on sale and had someone’s salty toe jam on them should of rung alarm bells.
I guess if you are happy with them, that’s all that matters. Will we ever find out if they are durable enough ? Probs not, as it sounds like you are about to park up the bike and take up mud wrestling. But by Jesus, don’t take up dairy farming. You are likely to grab a bull by the testiculs on the first day, and the aftermath won’t be pretty. ?‍♂️
