It seems there is a firmware update v00.11.03.05 on the bike, I haven't checked... can anyone confirm❓🙏

does this cancel out the ability to VPN to a different geo location if you are that way inclined , I believe the last update did , locked your location ? , if you updated so de-restriction did not work ?
The version that worked with VPN was 1.3.3 apk I understood ?

No, and you believe wrong, no one else has said anything negative about any update. Its not likely Amflow or DJI will publish an update that closes the door
 
see maybe it was just this guy specific and his set up , so " No one " is actually not no one is it !

He said he rolled back to the older version and it still did not work, sounds like this guy does not know how to do it in the first place.

If people start posting about it, then you might have something, but so far no one here is complaining and people cry like schoolgirls in here.

The Karen criticism was not directed at you.

Do you have any credible information about the update or not? Some people in the comment section of the video "you" posted are saying the update did not effect the derestriction. Can you stay on topic and add information? or is personal attacking all your good for?

Nothing more to add , I asked a question and some info that's all and your comment about personal attacking is somewhat laughable as you appear to pretty much attack the general membership of this board or spout political BS.
Life is too short , so have fun with whatever bike you ride, and post away. Bored now

I just finished a ride v00.11.03.05, NZ works ok. That said I am careful every time i power on the bike Im in NZ via nord VPN on iphone.

Dont make him cry! The new update just released past this one unlocks class 3 in USA without using a VPN.

So as I told him, Amflow will not close any doors, they are opening them up! ;)

cool , good to know , I tried NZ in the forest of dean on Wednesday on my mates bike and was impressed , his bike is stock std spec apart from a Lyric and set up mullet , rode well on GBU , both GBU UK and GBU New Zealand :)

I did all that on a Shimano EP 801 in the endurance capitol of the world at 62 years old. Had a heart attack in 2023 had pulmonary embolism and lost a lot of one lung and damaged the other in 2020, a month after a crash that broke 6 bones. 3 ribs clavicle and 2 vertebrae. Im just happy to be alive and enjoy life! And if I pick up some KOMs on the way, im happy as hell!

5000 miles last year and 650.000' of climbing on semi technical trails

Many of my friends on strava from different countries, had attitude similar to yours, been buddies for a long time.

Tbh i think its often best to just put the small people on ignore and move on without argument.
It's noise and if people don't react to their tiny ego they quickly stop posting.

Hi @Winford I am still on the very first firmware as I wish to keep my Amflow unrestricted.

Are you saying if I update to the latest version then I can simply choose USA as location and it will remain unrestricted? No VPN necessary? Or do i still need to connect to a US VPN Server first? (i am in Australia)

I was apprehensive about updating especially because of the hassle of connecting a VPN but I can imagine that as each firmware is developed there are other benefits - i just assumed after the 2nd update earlier in 2025 that disabled location swapping that it was never coming back....

No, im saying usa gets class 3, 28 mph now without vpn

now you can have the real fast mode for a minute instead of 30 seconds, and you also had the power increase in earlier update.

Im in usa so i plan to update, and if im stuck at 28mph so be it.

No, not how it works. You still need the VPN so you can change the location.

Not sure what speed limit is set in Australia, if its 28 then your good to go. I have no researched that.

Hi Winford,
I'm in the US. To get the Class 3 mode (28mph), do I need to go into my settings and enable Class 3 mode? Or by default I'll be in Class 3 automatically.

Because the new Specialized Levo also has Class 3 mode, but users will have to enable it each time they power on the Levo.

Im sure that is what needs to be done. The update just listed class 3 for usa. So few are in the states, nobody has been reporting on it yet

Okay, I just confirmed on my DJI Crestline that I can set the Speed limit to Class 3 (28mph). When I power off the motor and power it on again, it goes back to its default 20mph limit. So I'll have to set it to Class 3 before every ride. Similar to the Gen4 Levo.

Do you change it through the app or can you do it on the bike itself?
