EP8 motor spins... but no drive

Motor is 2.5 years old, 13500 km no problems ...until now. By putting pressure on the pedals the motor spins but seems to have lost connection with the chainring. Any suggestions what is wrong. There is no error message.

Sounds like one of the internal drive gears has failed. The main shaft must still be connected and working and the torque sensor working, but one the the gears must be stripped.

I think there's a sticky thread in motors/shimano about re-building it with some pictures in.

There are also two or three (depending on motor version) sprag clutches and one of them may be damaged and not engaging
