Well the Ewild Beatings continue, after 1500 plus miles on them i have still yet to be disappointed.
rear tire has over 1000 miles on it and still holding up well.
yesterday was no easy day for that old rear tire as she took on Downieville With fresh 29x2.6 up front.
i don’t think i need to explain much about Downieville.
having never ridden the trail i was able to top 500 every segment and top 100 i. Many segments and even top 10 in a couple. Yes on Ebike but i never once ran above eco or first power level on my beater demo 2017 Fantic.
225 front rotor with 220 rear on code R brakes and trick stuff pads. My brakes where never even a slight issue, no flats, not single mechanical.
One of my riding friends had fresh set of 2.4 wild enduro 29’s mounted on his YT, at the bottom our 3rd in the riding group was limping and beaten from hard get off, he has podium finishes at DVille several times and commented. You came into a few corners so fast i didn’t think there was a chance in hell you make it. I just kept thinking you don’t know the trail and where over riding and you where gonna die. But corner after corner you never swayed from your smooth flowing style and i realized you where not on the edge but rather deep in your comfort zone. Then looked at mike said your YT looks like it’s on rails as well and i feel like my DHF is just loose and fading everywhere.
so mike swapped front tires with him for couple miles then said. Buy you own and give me mine back as this tire sucks and it used to be my favorite.

2.6 Ewild rear with 2.8 cushcore, 2.6 Ewild front.
run with 1 volume spacer up front, 68psi fork pressure, revalved Delux rear shock setup with 20% sag in rear.
22 psi front tire. 28 rear with cushcore

I was able to buy 2 new 29x2.6 last week Ewild.
wild enduro only goes to 2.4

I even got into the Michelin web page and they only show 27.5 on ewilds.

I tried the canadian distributor. Not here yet. Going to get a dh22 27.5 for a rear tire to go with my dh 34 front too. No dh22's yet either. I heard the 2.4 dh 22 is slightly wider than the 2.4 dh 34.

i rode mikes bike and he has them mounted on 30 internals and it works well. He light rider so holds him well. I feel i need tad more sidewalk support so to keep my pressures lower i like the wider wheels better.
but it’s much better then MM on a 30 that’s for sure

I fitted a rear 2.8 x 27.5 ewild yesterday due a damaged sidewall on my Trek powerfly. I run the tyres tubeless and use 20PSI front and rear. I noticed that the front Bontranger tyre feels far softer to the squeeze than the ewild. Could this be due to the ewild having a stronger sidewall. I'm thinking I could reduce the pressure a bit further in the ewild...
now that the e-wilds are available in 29x2.6, any reports on how they size up in stans rims or similar 29/30mm internal diameter. currently using a magic mary 2.6 up fornt as it's my normal go to tyre, but it's a very skinny 2.6 so would like something with a a bit more volume. how do they compare in mixed conditions to the MM (when i say mixed - it's the peak district, so can be very varied including mud at any time of the year!)

I emailed Michelin US last week asking about the 29 X 2.6. Not coming to the US. Total BS. I ordered from Merlin bikes in the UK and now have 2, 29 x 2.6 in my hands. One is going on the Decoy this weekend. I have had the rear 27.5 for many months.

This was their reply.
"Thank you for reaching out to Michelin. Unfortunately as you mentioned this tire is only available in Europe and we do not have any information as being eligible here in the USA. If you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to contact us."
Maybe in the future they will bring them to the US but I couldn't wait another 6+ months or if it ever happens.
Easiest install so far. No tire tools, and a hand pump did it.
I'm still waiting for the front e-wild but having installed the 27.5x2.8 rear e-wild and what with rain and all!
I tested on wet everything. The tire is acceptable on wet stuff.
It's not a Max-Grip shorty when trying to sublimb up sloppy slopes, but really decent on wet roots and rocks, provided your not also trying to slow down.
They roll nice! but give up ground while braking very easily?.

I would not rely on Michelin customer care answers because they are quite useless. I wrote to Michelin EU few months back asking them when E-wilds in 29" will be avilable in EU (some forum members already had samples for testing) and got answer that they don't have information that this tire will be available in other sizes than 27,5"...
My first couple rides with the e-wilds were in mud and therefore somewhat negatively biased my initial opinion. They are not mud tires.
On normal morning damp to perfect tacky, they are probably the best tires I've tested.
The cornering grip is really good, and on many sections of my regular ride, I am taking different lines, simply becuase they grip so well, I'm exiting inside.
You do loose braking traction with these tires, as others have said. I have found I need to pay attention to braking points and not get too speed happy on the technical downhills. This lack of braking gets pretty bad when its wet.
All in all, I really dig these e-wilds.

Swapped out the Minnion 2.8" 27.5 rear on my Decoy for the 2.6" 27.5 e-wild. I much prefer this smaller tire on the rear. Don't feel like I've lost anything, apart from a little height, but I run the bike in high mode. Great for climbing - perhaps a little more traction and great for steep gnarly dh. Might be a while before I get to try them in the wet.
