Yep, judging is a farce. Stop trying to make out they can rate a line to two decimal places, just rank them first, second third and move the riders up and down accordingly. It was bezonkers on the women’s round when one of the riders did the same line on run two, but with a couple more whips and a suey, and she got 0.33 higher score. Even the commentators struggled to understand. That .33 also meant she was still just fractionally behind the leader, who knew….

And the women’s winning run should have been at least 5 points higher than second place. She did at least 5 tricks including 2 backflips and she was scored barely above 2nd place that only did 1 trick in her first run. The gap between the 2 riders was way bigger than the score showed.

Adolf gave us a laugh earlier but the misgivings around this event are starker than ever. It's too much for me.

Silva and Johansson both airlifted to hospital on finals day...the consequences for both riders actually could have been worse!
Massive crashes and lots of delays.
But they choose to do this...nobody puts a gun to any of their heads.

Yep, not anything I'd argue to the death but my problem with it is how serious accidents are practically baked in. Plenty of serious injuries happen in dh but they're never a foregone conclusion & nowhere near the guaranteed attrition rate you get at Rampage.

Very sad, but honestly I’m not surprised after seeing it happen while I was watching the event. Just Brutal. To me the consequences are not worth the risk. I get pushing the envelope, but to my understanding he had not attempted the double backflip in practice all week leading up to the live runs. I hope he can recover. 🙏🏼

Yeah watching it live, there just never seemed to be enough room for a double backflip there, which you could hear from the commentators as they went "NO!" as the second rotation started.
That was a brutal crash and frankly, I am surprised he's the only one that has come away from this event with such major injuries this year - Emil J was incredibly lucky to get away with relatively minor injuries and others that were airlifted off the course have also gotten away relatively unscathed.

Netflix have bought WBD with the sports excluded. Clearly this means The Freecaster comeback with Warner smashed out of his gourd is back on.

Kolb's gone to SC, Oison O'Callaghan to Trek allegedly, Dak & Dylan Maples leaving Mondraker again, allegedly and off to Frameworks & Vali to Commencal Schwalbe Les Orres is the extent of everything I've heard so far.

I think Kolb will go well at SC!

Oisin has been very quiet on socials, I hope he goes well on Trek. I can imagine the environment will be quite different to YT.

Surprised Frameworks have the budget for Dak and I though the was on a multi year deal with Mondraker?

Well, when you're a small brand, but led by an ex-WC racer (Neko) and when you show you can still win against the big teams (Anna Newkirk and Asa Vermette), and finally when there's a strong USA connection there, it seems like a very investable team. To this day I still wouldn't consider anything from YT (and I am enjoying a little Schadenfreude right about now) after the way they treated Neko and Aaron Gwin.

Anyway, I think this is going to be a great thing for DH racing.

I'm loving what Neko is doing and the fact Asa is staying loyal when he will have no doubt been offered significant sums by other Teams to move.

Also heard rumours of juniors being scrapped from 2026. Would strongly deplore that if true, it's a great nursery for elite & would be an own goal imo.

Frameworks have a star in Asa & if the roster goes as rumoured, they stand to be a potentially great American team.

Faded last season though, hovered around 10th back end of the season - did she have an injury?
