Now i talked to the P guy and he claimed he can get it also up to 65 km/h for 250euros. For me that sounds a little sketchy.
Are you not in better situtation by installing Volspeed instead of messing with the firmware?

It is USA configuration with wheel size halving.

I don't see the point to do both, you can do wheel size halving, and get 50km/h limit, and your display will show half of the speed. If you want to get correct speed on the display and 32km/h enough you can do USA configuration .

The wheel size halving can be reversed without any trace, the usa configuration can also reversed but will leave a trace on the system.

So basically you can keep the EU region and just do the wheel size halving and get up to 50 km/h So the system will think you’re going much slower than you really are, so assistance won’t cut off at the real 25 km/h. and will let you reach around 50 km/h with motor support?
So why are most people not just doing that instead of the usa firmware?

Yes. With even the 750watt bosch gen5 it's pretty hard to accelerate over 50km/h.

USA config make sense for people who want real speed displayed, and 32km/h limit is enough.
 
I have managed to get a container file to upload to the bike a few weeks ago.
Problem is getting the bike to accept it - while we can fool the bosch software to think it's a legit version, I have not been able to actually change the bike as the bike display rejects the container. If anything, you'd need to spoof a "real" dongle/certificate
 
I assume wheel size alterations will make the walk mode almost useless as the bike will try and run away. Something to consider if you use walk mode.

I'm looking for someone with the 20mph, US speed limit gen 4/5 bike to help me gather some data about the limit.
It will only take about 5 minutes.

I'll give you a fully unlocked Diagnostic Tool 3 (OEM offline mode, no dongle required)
All you need is your bike and a USB cable to generate a diagnostic report. I won't connect to your PC, just send you the diagnostic tool for free, in exchange for few values from the report. With the tool you'll be able to clear errors, change stuff in the bike, etc, and I just need a part of the pdf file

Hi, I just bought a used orbea wild and would like to check the status of the battery health. with the bosh diagnostic tool is it possible to do so without having the login? if so can anyone pls share the installation file.

Depends on how good Bosch's chip detection is (I imagine it's pretty good at this point).
 
Has anyone tried putting a Bosch Speed Pedelec firmware rather than the US firmware onto a gen 5 emtb? That could get you up to 45kmh assuming it could be done.

i suspect this would be no problem - the way this is achieved is by editing the wheel circumference not changing the speed settings in the motor, so you would have to set half the desired speed so to say

If anyone is planning on doing the change by the way, hit me up. I've managed to edit the software that could enable one to change more settings afterwards too

Thank you guys, I just read your messages and after fast search found guy in facebook, messaged him him and after 20 min. i got 32kmh for just 75 euro. It taken me 2 hours from knowing its possible to having it on my bike

Even at €75, that's still too much for a single click in a diagnostic tool. €200 was a complete rip-off

That doesn't justify pricing it as high as a physical dongle. It is just a single click and 100% profit for them, yet it could be gone with a single update. A physical tune can at least be resold

Everyone decides for him self, phisisical also got cons, it needs instaliation, no warranty for no errors, no warranty to work after update, higher price, wrong speed and distance readings...
