This probably sounds stupid, but, the previous owner of my bike has rounded the seat clamp allen key bolt on my Cube Stereo Hybrid. I will be able to get the bolt out as I have bought a removal kit, but don't know what the replacement bolt size/type I need to buy . I am guessing it is an M4 (don't really know why I think that), but could really do with some help on what it actually is and what size to get. Failing that, is it as simple as buying a replacement seat post clamp, and are there dropper specific ones?

Many thanks.

If the dropper seatpost is 30.9 or 31.6, the seatpost clamp size is 34.9.
If the dropper seatpost is 34.9, the seatpost clamp is 38.6.

Both seatpost clamps are readily available in either a quick release or bolt.

Hope that helps 👍🏿

Have you switched out the seatpost clamp? Am I gonna have all sorts of fiddling around to lift the post out enough to get the new clamp in place? i am assuming there is not tons of play in the dropper post cable.

Just replace the bolt.
I've just measured mine with a digital Vernier and it measures 4.8mm on the threads so that equates to an M5 bolt.
Its 20mm long so you need an M5x20 cap head bolt
