Thanks! According to the info from the link you provided: "CUBE STEREO HYBRID 140/160 500 & 625 WATT 2020/2021/2022 MODELS . WILL NOT FIT THE 2022 750 WATT MODEL. "

That would mean it only fits 2022 frames which are based on the 2021 frames (small sizes, and Race version)

I wrote to the Manufacturer and enquired about a version that fits the 2022 750 spec bikes; one is being designed as we speak, but is not yet available.

I asked him to let me know once it was available for purchase, so can pop something here once I hear. (y)

I will say when received mine I did not think it was worth the money but after fitting and use I really am ok with it and it is not even noticeable once fittted.

Purchased this for mine and a little unsure of it. Yes it is protection however is fitted with the 2 bolts and then Velcro at the back. Time will tell if the Velcro holds up.

Just had my 2022 160 delivered, with the 750w battery

My 2020 160 has a 'standup' metal plate to protect the motor cover. Used because the plastic plate shattered on my first ride on the bike

But not at all sure where a plate will fit over this. Securing a new plate with velcro not a viable option

On the facebook in one of the many Cube Hybrid 140/160 groups, some guy makes them in small series for the Cube2022, looks good and reviews are good.

I asked the company via e-mail about this, never recieved a reply, however as an interim made one from Kydex sheet, ( 3mm thick) appx £5 bougth on e-bay, simply measure up the base plate, cut a template with a jigsaw, place into the oven on a tray to allow you to place over the cover with the bike upside down, and then mold to shape by hand using leather gloves until it cools down, then stuck on with Gorrila double sided tape, so far stayed in place, been on 2 years on my previous bike.

I might give that a go. It occurred to me that its fundamentally a straight forward thing.

it replaces also the plastic cover, so if you have broken that one, it is not that much more expensive ;)

And here it is:

Click me

I have just ordered one, so will share my thoughts when it lands. (y)

From what I understand, the price is below the threshold (150Eu) for paying any import fees.

It is pretty shameful of the industry not to provide better protection down there in the first place, especially for the cost we pay for these bikes. It's like the want our motors break! Oh wait, this is the age of planned obsolescence, of course that's what they want.

I have received the following email today, so I thought it’d be interesting to see the thoughts of other cube owners on here too:

Hi Nicolas,
Hope all is well. Many thanks for your message.
We do have a guard on test for the 750w. Please see attached. Our original plan was to us the battery push button to secure the front of the guard but we were advised by Cube this would void frame warranty.
Attached does involve drilling two holes in the front of the motor cover , the rear can either be drilled or heavy duty Velcro. Fitting takes about 15 mins and once on is very secure.
We are asking Cube riders for feedback and would really welcome your thoughts, production can start early next week and the hard anodised black ready within 3 weeks for sale.

Enjoy your weekend.
Mike
