Crestline x DJI - RS 181 SPECTRE Edition

Yah, I reached out to try and get a deposit in. No response yet but maybe it's too soon.

Dang, I'm online a lot and totally missed this.

99 units is a ridiculously small run. The DJI variant will 4x that.
 
It certainly looks freaken cool. I'm trying not to be too bummed as i'm one month into my S-180 and loving it.
I don't actually want the more power of DJI and am envious of the lighter weight with bigger battery capacity.

I've effectively made a dji weight s180 by running smaller batteries. It would be super cool to have 21kg with 600 wh battery.

But no dji Crestline for me. I had to sell my first born child, left splene and grandmothers ashes to fund the s180. I'll be riding it for the next 3 or 4 years.
 
From my understanding, if you have previously purchased a Crestline bike, you will get the first crack at purchasing the DJI version. Thats why its not live on the website for the general public.

Interresting sales approach, avoid selling to those who present the greatest need. I'm just bitter that it might be sold out and that I shouldn't buy one because I DEFINITELY don't need it.

Anything DJI is a big deal these days, even for a small company like Crestline. For them to not make any noise about it is odd, especially since it goes against previous releases and how they handle sold out ones, like you mentioned. Even if I don't get one I'd like to see the specs.

It's all speculation, but it's almost like Steve the websales guy set it to live by accident when he rushed out of work Friday to hit the trails then got a rude awakening over the weekend when he saw orders rolling in.
 
For those trying to buy and freaking out at the website not working. Just email Troydon directly. He'll tell you what's up and if there's stock you will be able to place an order with him.

Either its sold out already or its some physical glicth on the website with too much traffic.

I always thought the Bosch Crestline was one of the ugliest bikes, The DJI one is sexy..

You did this when you bought your Pole as well.

These things (e-bikes) are advancing very quickly and this is going to happen for years.

Also Plum, can you share your Crestline size, the entire set up as it relates to the dropper post? What is the insertion on the size 3 anyways?

Anyways, I tried to get one of these but circumstances seemed to have prevented it.

Has anyone yet figured out how to have a bash plate on a DJI motored e-bike? I'm not kidding I wouldn't make it a day without a bash guard.

Yeah I know. That's why I'm trying not to be bummed. Draw a line in the sand and buy a bike and be done with it.

In all honesty the S-180 is god damn fantastic. The only thing i'm really loosing to DJI crestline is being able to run a 600wh at the same weight as my 400wh bosch option. I rarely use boost as it is on the bosch.

I'll get over it and enjoy the shit out of the bike. It is a glorious bit of kit.
 
Placed my order 2 days ago because my Decoy frame cracked and it looks like my order went thru. I feel like a lottery winner.
