The Crestlines already a nice looking well balanced bike, with the DJI it's really slimmed things down and most of the frame/rear triangle seems to have been re-worked rather than just stuffing the Avinox system in there.

Liking the exchangeable swingarm/rear triangle ends (dropout options).

Is this a dig at the Levo Gen4 ?

Sure sounds like it!

The DJI’s weight and battery form factor alone are enough to blow away anything else in the market at this point, they didn’t even need to be the most powerful system. I mean compare the look of this bike to the new Levo, it’s not even a discussion, this is in a league of its own and still has within 50Wh of capacity of the Levo. I wasn’t considering a new bike for another year at least, but this thing could change that…

You’d better be quick then, not many going to be made! 😁

Also, looks like a USA party only, can’t see many being sold Internationally (from this batch anyway) and “Batteries for the DJI system are still TBD for international orders. Please check in with us before placing an international order”… 🤔

Put new generation batteries* in weighing less than half the weight of current batteries and I'd be tempted to buy two, one for my wife and one for me. Maybe.

* bit like nuclear fusion, will be here 'soon'

Yup, I think the avinox bikes have probably hit the limit on frame sizing. You still need the size for the strength/stiffness we expect these days - even on none "e" bikes. As you say, would be nice to be lighter/more capacity.

It is ..

Most of our light and heat comes from it (the sun) ..

Plus about 70 years of being very good at Humans destroying things with it ...

I think the WEST setup did over 20 minutes in France earlier this year .. so it is actually nudging closer .. slowly ..

Lighter battery/Controlled Fusion Energy .... which will come first .... Controlled Fusion Energy Bicycle ??

I know, such limited production numbers is tough, they’ll be gone in a day or two, I won’t actually end up with one, but if it weren’t for the small production numbers maybe I would. I know relatively about Crestline, do these things end up selling for a lot when used because they’re so scarce, or do they still end up selling for pennies on the dollar like any other bike?

They seem comparable to most things second hand rather than being classed as a "collectors piece"

If we ever have an EMTB collectors market in the future, then they might have more value.

An example :

Hopefully they do a non-limited run (or another bike) in 2026, as this says "limited for 2025" - seems like a licence to print money if they can make enough!

It does look a LOT better than the old one.

There is a good chance I'd be looking at buying one, but my current divorce prevents me from spending any money.
