The chainring on my turbo levo is threaded. Replacement options seem not to be. If I use backing nuts to I need to drill out the holes in the crank to accommodate them. Any suggestions or alternatives etc please.
Help appreciated.
Cheers

On my Kenevo I just threw on a cheap 104bcd ally one from amazon :

And bought a bolt kit :

In my case the "nuts" were slightly too long so the bolts wouldn't fully tighten and the nuts stuck out the back and would catch on the plastic motor guard. So I had to grind the nuts down a couple of mm. I think if you do more research, they sell them as different lengths. I think those were 5mm or 6mm, but you need 4mm ..

K, maybe I can answer my own question. looking at it again the holes around the thread are slightly pronounced acting as locators to line up the sprocket with the already oversized holes ready to accept chainring nuts. If anyone can just confirm this it would be appreciated but I'm pretty sure I'm right.

And yes .. the holes in the spider are large (wide) enough that the "nuts" can slide in without drilling.

Just call Berkshire cycles, they stock the correct size chainring bolts to fit any chainring that is not threaded like the original one, think they cost under £10 and they will post them out to you

I put this one on my 2020. It is threaded so a perfect swap. OEM bolts were a perfect size as well so I didnt need anything but to remove the stock 32t
