Any small hand held bypass style will work for both the steel cable, and the housing. Don't use a dyke style, make sure it is a bypass type. I'd see what Amazon can get to you.

I can also recommend Knipex.
I have a set of the Knipex 95 62 190 rope shears I purchased a couple years ago for about 36 euros from amazon.de

In my opinion, Knipex as well, have for years.

The Knipex catalog is ten times worse than the best bike parts catalog you can imagine. I can't go through the Knipex catalog without finding something that I ABSOLUTELY MUST have. I imagine it's similar to chicks and shoe stores.
