Hi.

Got a few questions.

Wtf is the plastic thing behind the cassette? Can it be removed?

Also why did they install the brakes backwards and do I need to change the cables or just switch over?

Thanks

Also. Does anything important come in the box that hasnt arrived yet?

1 it's called a dork disc and yes you can.
2 the brakes are all fitted that way in Europe. Some can be flipped others need the hose swapping.
3 should have gotten a bike from a shop if your this green with bikes direct brands are a bad idea.

Never had a dork disk before. My s works didnt and neither did my stumpy.

Ironically the specialized bikes came in this build condition in the post. Not sure what I'd gain from a shop other than cost.

Never seen goofy brakes before and I know that you can reverse codes but the hoses are now gimpy.

Local shop can fix anything that isn't a warranty problem.

I'm guessing the charger is in the other box!!

The bike is up and running. Turns out that when the battery is low you cannot get the app to work. So I'm stuck in low power mode for now

Removing that dork disk was a PITA. I cannot find my tool to remove the cassette since I moved house. I have never seen a high end bike come with one before.

It's not a high end bike.

Hope that helps ;)
Lol.

Well I do have other high end hobbies to pay for aswell

Lol no because it come with 1 bar of battery.

Charger comes tomorrow.

Battery is overrated. Keep it off and go ride mate.
Pass fast some guys and cry "Sorry to be so slow, I am waiting for the charger."

Lol.

It's got ceramic coating on it so the dirt comes off with the rain. It's not that clean on closer inspection.

I might apply it to the bike actually as well. Make cleaning it much easier.

This is clean

Anyone know why I cant turn on the bluetooth in the menu? Web shows bluetooth LE but it's not in my menu

Yes thanks.

I worked that out. Must be a newer method as all videos online show you activating it.

Took me ages lol

I just scored it with a utility knife and broke it off, easy as pie.

You can take cassette off by loosening axle clamp on disc side and pull cassette with axle out i had to do this to grease the hub as their was strange popping coming from it. Noise went after some grease as some stated on an other thread. When apart you can take the dork disc off.

Also, the cassette can be removed without removing the axle. You just need a chain whip and cassette tool.

The dork disc can be removed without taking off the cassette using a set of snips and a little common sense!
Yes that is what I did. Painful on my fingers though.
