Why are you calling out Bosch? They don't make bikes. It's not only Specialized that's overpriced compared to other frames with the same components
Can you hear me Bosch?

The base Levo had already dropped from £5299 to £4799 but I could see a further cut now the Amflow PR is out for preorders.Very shitty of them to leave other regions out of this. I would have thought Europe would be where this could have the biggest impact considering Avinox has had more time to get embedded here compared to North America.
I worded myself wrong because I meant all ebikes regardless of engine and frame. Why are you calling out Bosch? They don't make bikes.
Exactly this , likely they knocked 5k off the price Specialised S works road bike trade last year was 7k, retail was 12k there ya go, dealers were told you can’t discount an S works bike lolGood news for riders. Specilized clearly feeling Amflows impact on their volumes.
I don't believe for a minute they've suddenly found a cheaper way to make them. Imagine if they chose this pricing from the start - might have made a dent in the Avinox tidal wave. I fear its too little too late for this crop of bikes. Only diehard Spesh fans will want one.
I think the biggest problem is the bike industry is the $1300 forks, $500 brakes, $900 droppers, etc. the common components to every bike are just absurdly priced. I mean look at the finished product, an e-bike costing $10k when that same money can get you a full running dirt bike/moto. Being a niche industry that caters to people with disposable income, every component in there has always been bloated with margin far beyond what it really should cost an end user to buy.I worded myself wrong because I meant all ebikes regardless of engine and frame.
Ebikes has been overpriced for a long time and I can't see any reason to justify an S-Works and Orbea etc. costing ~$15000
That aftermarket component prices are getting absurd also but this isn’t the reason for absurd bikes prices. Manufacturers pay peanuts for this stuff at oem level volumes.I think the biggest problem is the bike industry is the $1300 forks, $500 brakes, $900 droppers, etc. the common components to every bike are just absurdly priced. Chinese have started flooding the market with just as good or even better products the industry has been given a cold shower.I think the biggest problem is the bike industry is the $1300 forks, $500 brakes, $900 droppers, etc. the common components to every bike are just absurdly priced. I won’t comment on why they did it but last year I was ready to upgrade from my Intense Taser Expert and had my sights set on a new Levo so off I went to local dealer one day check book in hand. I quickly realized to get a better bike with next level up suspension and components I would need to spend $13k including tax. I paid $6500 MSRP for my Intense and had added several aftermarket upgrades. I had the money but could not justify the value prop and dealer would not budge on price so I walked.Good news for riders. The Comp Carbon price was also reduced. It was $9,200, now $7,999. Ask me how I know.Chinese have started flooding the market with just as good or even better products the industry has been given a cold shower.
Looking forward to the coming years.
The only bike Specialized didn't drop the price on in USA was comp carbon why?
Yes please tell me since everywhere I look I read Levo LTD and Com Carbon is not reduced. The Comp Carbon price was also reduced. It was $9,200, now $7,999. Ask me how I know.![]()
Here are the current prices. The gold is a 2026 model and the champagne is a 2025. It’s possible this is only US or North America pricing.Yes please tell me since everywhere I look I read Levo LTD and Com Carbon is not reduced.
This sheet is from PinkBike but also Singeltracks writes about it.Is it just my impression, or is this news getting very little attention across the various (e)MTB sites?
My mistake on the R, I didn’t notice it was an R.Yes correct R is down but not Levo 4 comp carbon and LTD. For now the new prices is only in US and Canada.
My guess is no one want to buy the LTD but Levo 4 comp carbon is the one sold most therfore they won't lower the price and S-Works is not selling enough therfore biggest cut.

It must be a weird game to keep things priced at a certain level on the complete bikes and in the aftermarket to avoid awkward pricing situations where someone could build a bike much cheaper than buying a complete one. That aftermarket component prices are getting absurd also but this isn’t the reason for absurd bikes prices. Manufacturers pay peanuts for this stuff at oem level volumes.
They also have the most room to make cuts on the more expensive ones, I’m sure they make the highest margins on the nicest level trims of the bikes, just like with cars. Less wiggle room to drop on the lower trims.Yes correct R is down but not Levo 4 comp carbon and LTD. For now the new prices is only in US and Canada.

Because the biggest issue with Levo4 range was/is not the overinflated pricing, but being kinda outdated design compared to previous gen and especially to all the competition out there ... And giving sworks range extra power/torque behind a paywall was not well accepted either. I'm still riding Gen2 Levo and was patiently waiting and being determined to buy a new Levo4 until it actually came out ... This recent price drop, still does not trigger me wanting a Levo4 now, that train has left the platform ... So I think this gen is going to be a very hard sell for Spesh either way, they lost a massive amount of loyal riders (incl. me) for which a low price was not in a top ~5 key priorities when buying a new bike, I really hope they will be back in game with Levo5, because otherwise I really like the brand and LBS guys were always awesome and helpful ...Is it just my impression, or is this news getting very little attention across the various (e)MTB sites?
But the prices are not even correct. Levo evo comp is not $6699.Yes correct R is down but not Levo 4 comp carbon and LTD. For now the new prices is only in US and Canada.

I don’t think the Evos are included in the price drop. Just the regular Levo and the R.But the prices are not even correct. Levo evo comp is not $6699.
Is one of the reasons for the dated legacy designs currently in a market that has moved forward at least decade in terms of advancements because of oversupply of the Levo 3 inventory that delayed the level 4 and now it's current oversupply.Because the biggest issue with Levo4 range was/is not the overinflated pricing, but being kinda outdated design compared to previous gen and especially to all the competition out there ... On paper Evo Comp and Evo Pro are but comp price might be wrongI don’t think the Evos are included in the price drop. Just the regular Levo and the R.
Is oversupply a bad thing ?Is one of the reasons for the dated legacy designs currently in a market that has moved forward at least decade in terms of advancements because of oversupply of the Levo 3 inventory that delayed the level 4 and now it's current oversupply.

Levo EVO Comp MSRP was lowered by 4%, Levo Comp was lowered by 8%. The table posted in this thread is wrong on these models...no 27% reduction here.
Comp models are still a little bit too expensive and Specialized ripping you off with a 36 Rhythm fork instead of 38 Performance is plain sad.
Levo Expert build makes much more sense to me considering MSRP was lowered a little bit more.
Please post the correct table a couple of procents in either direction is not good.Levo EVO Comp MSRP was lowered by 4%, Levo Comp was lowered by 8%. The table posted in this thread is wrong on these models...no 27% reduction here.

No, it makes no sense when Canada is also included in a price drop.On Friday or Thursday of last week -like May 5 or 6, the Trump tarrifs of 10% across the board - were knocked down by a federal judge. So currently in the US I believe there are no tariffs on imports at the moment. Maybe this is in response?
