Fast charger would be really helpful.
Thing is, the safe charging speed is determined by the cells, BMS, nickel thickness, and other hardware. If their current batteries could safely be charged much faster, I would have expected Bosch to have released a fast charger much sooner. So either they're just slow to the party (like with the power upgrades) or they're going to have to change the battery internals. Does anyone know what cells they're currently using? E.g. LG M58T, Molicel P45B, Samsung 50S...?

No idea which cells they are using, but the architecture can't be that different from anyone else, so as Rob says; most likely just slow to the party. I'd swap the daft power chasing headlines for faster charging any day of the week.

The key ingredient for fast chargers is a semiconductor material called Galium Nitride. The chargers with the technology are labeled as GaN chargers.

Interestingly the key world player in raw Galium production is China accounting for 98-99% of global primary production with Chinese semiconductor organizations accounting for over 40% of all GaN patents.
