This is a little bit of a ‘how long is a piece of string’ question but interested to see what others are getting on a cross country/trail loop using modes 1/2/3.

I have a 2022 Reign E+0 and had to limp it home after just 35km/1300m ascent having not come out of mode 1-3 all day (predominantly in modes 2/3).

Whilst I’d usually put this down to cold temps and slightly wet/boggy terrain I did this with two friends today who were on Bosch Gen 4 driven bikes with 625wh using tour mode the whole day and their bikes outlasted the Reign. Makes me wonder whether they may be a motor issue. If anything the motor feels a little draggy and certainly not as smooth as the Bosch Motor was today.

Thanks!

Sounds like you need to get down the gym mate 😂
Sorry, but seriously 35k with 1300m on a 750 is crap unless your eddie hall. I’ve got a trance and used to get 100km with 1300 on a 625 in the summer. This does drop dramatically in the winter to around 60km on the same route, but you’re on a 750 so should easily be beating that. Worth checking the app before you go to see the battery is at 100% and not just trusting the display on 5 bars

I have a Reign with the 625wh and just did 21 miles (about 35km) with 3,493 feet of elevation in muddy / soft and rocky conditions. Ram the battery out in the last two miles. Normally I can do 25 miles (40km) in dry conditions and still have two battery bars remaining.

E+2 (625wh battery):
I'm about 74 kg, with all my gear on. Also there is a cushcore in the rear which adds rotating mass.
Maxterra compounds, DHF front, High Roller DD rear.

Yesterdays ride, at 11 degr Celcius, on dry trails:
51% battery consumption during a 29 kilometer ride, with 852 total meters of ascend.
Attaching the graph of battery consumption and power levels, over time.
Most of the time on power level 3, a few stretches of using full power level 5* and level 4. Powering down to zero whenever coasting down on smooth connecting roads.

*which on Garmin, bike's power level 5 is shown as 7, and bike's power level 4 is shown as 5.

I have a Giant reign e+3 with an 800 wh battery.
In order to get range out of these bikes I changed the chainring to a 32 tooth and for the first three mode use only 20 NM, 30 ,nm and 40 nm with a launch tuned to low to moderate. This is good enough to climb most hills but at a considerably slow pace than full boost.
I got 17.84 km and climbed 440m using only 21% battery from a full charge. Calculating full range would be 17.84 ÷21 x 100 =84 km ( 50 plus miles , climbing 440÷21 × 100= 2095 m ( 6874 ft). I don't expect battery to discharge at a l7near rates you can get a bit less range and climb than calculated

Make sure you don't use Auto-Mode and turn down Launch as it eats up battery quickly.
I'm getting 1900m of ascend out of the 750Wh battery at 20+ Degrees, with the 800W even more as it has 22700 Cells.
My Settings:

ModeSupportTorqueLaunch
1 - Eco100502
2 - Tour150603
3 - Active200704
4 - Sport300855
5 - Power400856

Uphill I'm using mostly Mode 2 and 3, and 4 & 5 only for steep technical terrain.
