2026 Yeti LTE

For handling, e-bikes are heavy, so the MX setup brings back a bit of agility and makes the bike feel more playful. But overall, a full 29er is faster and more balanced for trail/enduro riding, especially on analog bikes. World Cup enduro racers all went back to full 29ers after experimenting with mullet setups a few years ago.

Now that e-bike weights are starting to come down a bit, we might see more and more full-power e-bikes running 29” front and rear, just like mid-power bikes already do.

Interesting POV / input about full 29er vs Mx.
I feel myself lost between the 2 after long tests back to back, on my amflow.
Full 29er feels great, even on very steep section since the rear wheel feels more 'planted'.
And the MX feels more agile, but has worst rollever.

I also wonder why DH racers tend to opt for mx (except for not being hurt by the wheel) if rollover on full 29er is better (and it is, as far as i understand) ?

In really steep sections and on jumps, the MX setup might be better, which is why DH racers still use it.

But like I said, most enduro racers don’t use MX anymore.

Both setups are great, but it really depends on the terrain you ride. Overall, the full 29er is faster for enduro and trail riding. Smooth and efficient vs agressive and fun riding.

Agree. I've run mine mullet and full 29" and I think it really comes down to terrain and riding style. If you're riding really steep tech with big drops and jumps like in the PNW, the mullet is an advantage. Also if you ride really loose and like slashing turns, the small rear wheel does that better. For most other terrain I think the full 29" is better. Full 29" bikes certainly carve turns better, the rollover is better, and the braking traction in steep and loose is much better. The larger rear wheel lends itself to more of a locked-in, fast, precise riding style.

Did any of the Yeti LTe owners also test the 26 Pivot Shuttle LT? I've ridden both in the parking lot only, which is kind of a waste of course. But the only negative reviews I get on the Yeti (besides price, same as Pivot) is that it's sometimes too plush. That is of course subjective based on riding style and feel, but I was impressed with LT feeling a bit more playful than it should have for a long travel. It's the only bike I've been able to demo on the trail. I'm going between LT, Ampd and Yeti LTe. Perhaps I should look at MTe too but now I'm really overcomplicating things.

MTe only when you think you will feel around 2kg difference and want a less burlier build. In my opinion the only advantage is the quite motor which is okay but don’t give you reserve power if needed.
With the options to change leverage course of the shock you can setup (more or less plush) your own way. Cannot do that on the Pivot.

@LautSprecher Appreciate the input on the MTe vs LTe. Actually on the 2026 Pivot LT you can change the progression settings on the shock, as well as chainstay length, head tube and seat tube (slacker or steeper). Adjustments aren't the problem, and it does ride well. I've just never ridden a Yeti LTe on the trail and it's nearly impossible to find one. So was more or less curious if you LTe owners also rode a Shuttle LT. I'm in FOMO at this point. haha

Probably the biggest difference between the bikes is the suspension platform. The DW link is very efficient for climbing and pretty good at descending, while the Sixfinity is next level at descending (as are most of the 6-bar systems). I've had a bunch of Pivots and IMO the LTe suspension is much better, especially on a emtb where you don't really have to be concerned with climbing efficiency.

So sounds like LT more poppy, LTe more planted. Choices, choices

The rear suspension design and the T3 kit are why I switched from a Gen 4 Levo to the Yeti. I haven’t regretted my decision one bit.

If you’re looking at buying the LTe I’d do it sooner than later, maybe try to find a current model that’s on sale. The “new” LTe is going to be more expensive, at least the US version of the C2 will come with Factory suspension now. Something we’ve had in the UK since release. The only colour choices will be black and turquoise so if you want the yellow/orangish one then you’d have to find current stock.

Do you mean 2027 Yeti LTe as new? Or 26? Most I've seen are 26. I don't know the differences between 25,26+. But if minimal, then I'd agree "last year's" model would be best deal.

Not sure if they’re considering it a 2027 or what, I was told it’s a re-release. It’s basically minor component and tyre changes. The T3 is really the biggest change.

C2- gets factory suspension including the new Fox 38 and Magic Mary/Tacky Chan gravity casing tyres-$10,900

T3- gets CXR motor, new Fox 38, Fox dropper, Magic Mary/Tacky Chan gravity casing tyres and the rear derailleur will be powered from the main battery- $13,500

T4- basically the same but gets a Fox dropper, same gravity casing tyres and the derailleur power as the T3- $15,500

Ok thanks. The only CX-R I've seen, including their website, is T4 build. Those are nice upgrades. Definitely expensive though.

Any idea when this will be released? I demo’d the bike today and it was an absolute ripper. However, I’d definitely want the CXR motor

Did you actually demo on a trail or parking lot? A real demo is what I'm after

I was told “next month” when I asked so sometime in June, didn’t get an exact date though.

Yeah, currently only the T4 has the CXR motor. That’s really the biggest change in the line-up with the T3 getting it. Now the only difference between the T3 and the T4 is the fork and brakes, you get the podium and maven ultimates on the T4.

Range extender, does anyone else fit really odd? The powerport door gets completely in the way. Feels like it doesnt seat quite right. Worried about water getting to the connections
