2024 Strive:ON

I ordered a Strive:ON CFR, suppose to be delivered this week, but has been postponed twice. Anyone else has got delay on the delivery?
Mine was delivery was delayed by two days and on the day of delivery UPS switched time slots....twice. Arrived safe and sound eventually

I ordered mine on the 30th August, it's due for delivery on the 6th September, no delays yet.

Mine got delayed on delivery. Was supposed to arrive on the Friday and reading between the lines they didn’t have any 2 man teams to deliver so came on the Monday. They however must have given up on 2 man team by then and proceeded to drag it out of the back of the van smashing to the ground. So if you see them coming, rush to help them because UPS do not care one bit

That should protect the down tube from some of those pesky stone strikes

Thermally printed onto Motocross/Rally spec Ultracurve crystal clear vinyl and topped off with Ultracurve protective vinyl. I make decals for ADV, rally, motocross and Supermoto bikes from the same layup of materials and it’s tough. My decals have made it through the Dakar a couple of times so I’m very confident it’ll add some decent protection.

Also added some clear sections to the lower side of the down tube, seat stays and chain stays IMG_7567.jpeg IMG_7566.jpeg IMG_7565.jpeg

Anyone hear of any updates to a US arrival? Seen a few random posts of a Sept '23 ETA but thats it - sent email to Canyon US and no reply as of yet. The Strive:ON is looking like a serious contender in my search for a 160ish mm travel Bosch equipped ebike. Really digging the look/spec and geometry of the Canyon but the Commencal Meta Power SX is looking better and better with 'In Stock' and ready to ship here in the US but I havent been able to find any ride reviews/reports of the new Bosch version.

No reviews on the commencal sx bosch is just odd and frustrating I’m in the same boat as yourself. Hopefully something pops up very soon.

I was in the same boat, went Orbea. I have zero regrets, love everything about it!!

I had the Orbea Wild and Canyon Strive:On at the top of my list. They're very, very similar bikes on paper and geo numbers. I went with the Canyon as the spec for price was way better. If I'm honest I think the Orbea is a better looking machine

I agree. I find the Strive rather ugly but will probably get the Strive anyway. If the bike handles like a dream it will start looking better and better, just like an ugly girl with a great personality :)

I think it looks better in person. It's ugly in a charming way 🤣

Ugly is a push but it's no Charlize Theron!

Those who have the CFR with the Fox X2 Performance shock, how are you finding setup?

For my weight (90kg), the Canyon app suggests 199psi which then gives me a sag of 37%. If I increase pressure to 240psi I’m still at 32% sag.

I’ve found the settings for the Fox 38 forks to be bang on what Fox and Canyon suggest, which is 102psi for my weight. The shock seems to feel ‘balanced’ with the fork at around 230psi but then I’m not using the last 7-8mm of shock stroke.

What I’ve found interesting is that I’ve tried it on the same trails at 200psi, 210psi, 220psi and 230psi and the max travel I’m using is always very similar.

Curious to see what others are finding works best for them?

I’m similar weight and on the same set up as you. I’m at 205 psi and it’s spot on.
Have you equalised the negative chamber when pressuring the shock?

“The Shit Flap”.
Keep mud and rocks out of your suspension crack.

Laser cut from 3mm rubber. Held on with some 3M VHB double sided tape. Nice and soft but should be decent wearing too. I’ll be testing it out this week in Snowdonia

Lol, looks good. Does it adhere to both parts, or just one? I've also been wondering how to keep stuff out of here because my rear mudguard doesn't quite reach down that far.

It just adheres to the section of the main frame. It’s ‘solid’ enough to stay in place throughout the suspension travel/movement. I did wonder about adhering it to both sides but though it’d just pull off on the side that had less adhesion

Yeah, approx every 20psi I cycle the shock through it’s travel to equalise. I’ve even removed all air and started from scratch to be on the safe side.

How much sag are you getting at 205psi?

Looks like it should work. If you’re selling them, then I’d take one.

I’m getting 25% sag approximately

Yeah, definitely. Are you doing them in black?

At the moment I can only get this mid-grey. But, if they test well I’ll try and source black rubber (I have to use rubber that’s stable and safe to use on a laser cutter).

Hello everyone from Toggenburg

Here are some pictures of my Strive:0n (750Ah / size M).
I must say I am very impressed with the build quality. The paint was flawless, all the torques were correct - only the brake needed bleeding.
The bike is fantastic to ride - an incredible climber! It gives you a lot of confidence going downhill, so I have to be a bit careful not to ride beyond my ability. I'm still getting used to the Bosch engine, coming from the EP8.
With my weight of 61 kg, the X2 shock is very easy to adjust - I had to take out the volume spacers from the fork to make it fit for me.
I did a few small upgrades, such as: xt cassette, xtr chain, swissstop discs, 50mm rise, 12 degree back sweep, 760mm wide handlebars, more comfortable grips and the mudguards. I wrapped it all in 3M stone protection film. Since there is no Garmin integration from Bosch, I mounted my old iPhone 7 with quadlock mount that I had lying around - now I can track and navigate directly over the Bosch flow app. The phone holds great so far, even in rough terrain. But maybe it will come off again.
With the tool pouches, lights and bell, the clean look is lost a bit, but hey, it's very practical.

I'm really happy with the bike so far!

Have a good ride and stay healthy…

Took the bike to Bike park wales yesterday and rode the climb rather than using the uplift. Only had a window of 10-14.30 but managed 6 runs and 30 miles of riding. Finished with 42% battery so really impressed as my mates giant cut out at the top of the final run. Ran first 4 climbs in eco, 5th in trail and final in emtb. Did all the descents in emtb mode.

Bike is at home at bike park wales, couldn’t fault it on any of the trail types. Only negative is the Bosch motor rattle tbh, quite annoying and something I don’t usually notice as I ride with headphones when alone.
