Hi everyone - as the 2022+ models have a UDH hanger, has anyone tried the new T-Type AXS rear derailleurs? I was about to pull the trigger on the traditional hanger mounting GX AXS rear derailleur, but realised that I have a UDH hanger which I should be able to remove and direct mount a T-type one.

Any experiences would be appreciated...also wondering if I'd have to get a SRAM T-type chain, cassette and compatible chainring or whether I can keep running the stock Shimano/Race Face drivetrain that came on my 2022 Alloy Powerplay 50.

No one tried it at all?

You need the long chainstay position and a UDH stopper. You also can't use the GX models as it won't allow the battery to be removed. You can use the X0 and above models as the battery is side loaded instead of top.

You also need a different spider gear to correct chain line and new drive gear that supports the flat top chain.

Rocky sells a kit.

One thing I have not figured out yet is chain length. The sram calculator does not have any powerplay models. Anyone who has done it, what chain length did you use?

My chain has 124 links. I switched to the Shammo Linkglide Deore XT system and the new chain is 124 just like the old one. No problems so far.

The SRAM calculator says 126 links with a 34t chainring, I checked for both medium and Large sizes and it’s the same.

I installed mine at 126 links, Large frame.

One concern is my torque sensor cog has chipped teeth. Not sure if it is related to the t-type chain or not. 500 miles on the bike.
