They had a close out. I am 5'10 and have the 20 inch. Not sure if they have that size left right now. But the bike has been flawless.

I unlocked it as well at a bike shop and it goes up to about 35 Mph pretty nicely.
 
That is a good price. (y) Good fit for you? Have you made any major changes: fork, shock, drivetrain, dropper? Did you change the settings or use a box? How's that speed off-road? Bike feel overwhelmed at that speed?

I noticed their auction says bike must be professionally assembled for warranty. Did you bother?

I had bike shop assemble mine for the warranty. You have to send the receipt for assembly to Felt to validate the warranty, also the ivoice from purchase.
 
No I just put it together. The Shimano motor is under its own warranty. Unless I break the frame or something...I really don't worry too much about the warranty. But I probably don't ride as hard as most people on here.

I don't think I ride that hard but I've had two frame failures on Trek Fuels. Frames do fail, especially full suspension.

I plan to swap out a lot of parts: fork, brakes, wheels, and an e8000 off my wife's Focus Bold2.
She should be fine with the e7000. Anyone change the rear shock?

No I did not. Def. share your build and pictures here!

Its great bike. If you find a show that unlocks the Shimano steps and put a 36 tooth chainring on it... it will easily get you to 35 Mph or so.

Def. keep us posted!
 
They are great bikes. I've only upgraded the grips and put clipless pedals on, but have thought about a larger chainring. Wondering if this would require a longer, much more expensive chain. The KMC chain that came on it costs over $50 US and I put a $20 KMC chain on and found that it shifts much better.

I went up plus 2 teeth and then plus 4 teeth and never needed to get a longer chain.

With the plus 2 teeth shifting was 100% the same.

Plus 4 its a little less clean but works fine. I never adjusted the derailer but I am sure i could.

Yeah it hits 20 mph like nothing with the bigger chain ring.

That's why I unlocked mine to 40 MPH
 
What about climbing? I have a 38t I am thinking of putting on my HT.
I admit I wouldn't mind a higher speed when commuting to trails.
I would be happy with 28-30 top speed. Typically have to be going
downhill to go that fast.

The bike has a Shimano SLX, 11-speed, 11-46T. The 46 gets your very low gearing.

The stock chainring is 34. So go up to 36 and you'll be at 30 MPH easy.

But you'll want to unlock it. Because the drag past 20 on all these will slow you down. But I've gotten to 26 or 28 even with the drag. Unlock it and 30 is nothing.

Regarding climbing the 46T out back is pretty large. So you should be fine with 2 bigger on the front chainring.

I used standard chainrings for non eMTB's with no problem either.

Wait? Are you considering GREY Redemption 30 or the White Redemption 50? The Grey one is the 30. That comes with the Shimano Steps e8000. The white one has the e7000.

I have the Grey one with the e8000.
 
Yes E50. I just wrecked my back last weekend and the full squish should help me rehab. (n):mad:
 
Anyone try a longer shock to get 150mm rear travel?

Except that when your motor blows, you are not covered under warranty.

Hahaha. The last thing I would do is rat out a fellow rider. I’ve had to send my motor back And that’s what I was told.

I’m waiting for another one as I’ve blown my 3rd one!

Did you unlock them? What method?

I used thatcompany out of Italy. EPlus I think it is. Dealer said for warranty he would set it back

No I probably won't I may try it on my Focus as it is out of warranty.

Really like the bike. Surprised by the e7000 (y) Bike handles well for 55 lbs. More nimble than my HT
which is 45lbs. It does suffer a little in climbing and will be fitting some 4 pistons but pretty plush ☮

The underneath battery and that rubber flap are two of my few gripes with this bike. The flap covering the charge port doesn't seem very tight and it collects mud like it's going out of style. would be nice to have a cover for the hole if you want to take the battery out and travel with the bike on a rack.
 
Yes you have to really push on it until it "clicks". I have been looking at other brands for a cover (Scott, BMC).
Not sure who else?
