Can't start the bike after a 1000mile trip on the bike rack to Portugal.. prior to this, never had any problems, not even intermittent. Probably around 1000 miles on the bike

Local spesh dealer here in Portugal (faro) tried a new battery/motor cable, but no effect. Says the next step is a full motor strip down, with all the associated costs that will entail.

Bike is showing its age a bit (80ish% battery health on 460wh I think?). Wondering whether to call it a day and sell for parts.

Apologies I haven't trawled the forum for solutions; it's hard here on holiday on a little phone.

Got any advice regarding next steps? Is it likely I can resurrect the bike cost effectively?

A motor rebuild is about 400euros
Does the battery light up?
Did it get wet on the rack?
Is the magnet still on the rear disk?
Can you still pedal the bike?
If it got wet try disconnecting the mode change switch on the handlebar.
The battery health is the same as mine on 20,000km and still works ok for 50/60 km rides.
Maybe vibration has affected the motor but it seems a bit strange, I would suggest unplugging everything off the motor and cleaning the contacts especially if it got wet.

There wasn't any rain.

I'm home now. I've been checking the wires. There is definitely 40v going into the motor.. and 4.7 v coming out of the handlebar switch port on the motor.

But there is no motor power when pedalling, with handlebar switch connected or disconnected.. and the handlebar switch doesn't work when connected.

Magnet is there.

Time to send off the motor?
