120 Nm update for the Bosch CX and CX Race Announced

All installed with no issues here. I’m looking forward to trying it all out tomorrow morning.

Bosch’s commitment to rolling these updates out for existing bikes should be lauded by all of us who benefit. It would have been so easy for them to yield to pressure from bike manufacturers - who would doubtless prefer to have the new functionality creating pressure on people to buy new bikes.

Well done Bosch! Like this post if you agree…

I had a good shred yesterday and it was definitely doing the thing where it removes chain slack. Pretty cool. I can't get it to work on the stand and I'm not pedaling backwards or anything. It's tracking my speed or something.

I believe It uses sensors that keep it disabled while Descending.
I have the dtswiss DF and i don't notice any difference from pre update When descending.
Its working downhill. When you think about it, it will only work downhill and the flat as your pedalling uphill and its not relevant while pedalling.

Ill be honest i feel no difference between chain tensioner on or off other than hearing the chainring ratcheting foward while descending.

This chain tensioner feature, can it be switched off? Of I understand how it works, does it make ochains and dt swiss's new hub pointless as the chain will always be tensioned?
Not yet from what I can see. But it isn't active on lower modes. So to not have it active on the down change mode.
