I struggle to justify the price of EMTBs when this cost less….

Ive also just got back from the Spanish Pyrenees. You’ll have more fun on the emtb 😀

EXT E-Storia knock/clunk at full extension?

It's riding great now. Suspension Werx had to change the pellet to a new upgraded one.

Heading to Ainsa next week - anyone from here want to meet up?

Hey - a bit of a long shot, but as the title says - I'm heading to Ainsa next week. I think I have an ebike lined up. Downloaded the Z Trails app, but would be great to ride with someone who knows the area. I live in Vancouver/Canada and ride the trails around here like the North Shore and...

EXT E-Storia knock/clunk at full extension?

No knocking issues for me, but has no life to it, and made a “hiss” like noise on compression. When the bike went in for a service, they told me the shock needed looking at asap.

EXT E-Storia knock/clunk at full extension?

Hey folks - I took the EXT shock into Suspension Werx here in Vancouver today. The shock only has 200km on it since it was last serviced. They told me that there are known problems with this shock and they are going to do the recommended updates for me at no cost as my previous service was such...

EXT E-Storia knock/clunk at full extension?

I've been riding the E-Storia for 1 year on my Rocky and the Push 11.6 for 3 years on my Decoy. The E-Storia is going in for it's second service next week. The Push has gone in for one service - I also took advantage of upgrading it to the latest ebike version. I much prefer the Push. More...

    Axs dropper Vs magura

Interesting. I guess I’ve just been doing the 50H for 2 years and it feels as good as new. Do u have links to the 200H and 600H services? I bet they are still much easier to do than servicing on a regular dropper?

    Axs dropper Vs magura

Yes. The battery does last a long time tho. I just press the button on the side of the dropper before a ride. If flashing yellow, I simply put in the spare charged battery.

    Waterproof winter gloves

Yeah Sealskinz are the only ones I've found that have decent waterproofing, offer some protection, and are not so bulky so that you can actually downhill mountain bike and still get to brake levers, dropper post lever, etc, quickly. I guess thicker gloves would be fine if you just ride around...

    Axs dropper Vs magura

The AXS is brilliant. No need to take it in for a service like a regular dropper. No cables. Super fast going up and down. Feels like new even after two years. I take it out to inspect every couple of months. That's it.

How about a Canada Region Topic

Hardly modest. Burke, Eagle, etc totally rock. 20-25 mins to the North Shore for me. 35 mins to Burke (at weekends). So happy to see the rain this morning so we can get rid of that snow. Was even thinking of getting the skis out and dealing with getting up crazy early so I could line up for...

    YT Decoy 700WH battery

Nice to finally have options. I prefer having two lighter 540w batteries for my local Fromme and Seymour mountains, as I can easily get back to the car to swap batteries. I can easily get over 1000m of climbing with my 3 year old Decoy with Trail mode maxed out and plenty of boost. Only once...

The Current State of eMTB Trail Access in the USA

I live in Canada, but went down to Washington State to ride Galbraith a few weeks ago. "No ebike" signs all over the place, but lot's of people riding ebikes. The only questions I got were "where did you get that nice Rocky from". Probably different all over the US, but best to check local...

Is the Lightweight low powered market about to kick off ?

Not giving up my heavy weight full powered emtbs quite yet. Seen too many of my buddies break their lighter weight emtbs on trails around here. You get used to the extra weight of these full powered emtbs pretty quickly, and the extra power and range is too much for me to give up. Besides, the...

2022 Rocky Mountain new Altitude Powerplay

It doesn't. I only noticed the pedal strikes when I put a 27.5 wheel on the rear. Back to 29'er now. I also put shorter 155's on my Decoy, but don't need to do that with the Rocky.

    Decoy frame bearings

Not really I'm afraid. Take apart as much of the bike as you're comfortable doing to give you access. They are definitely the weak point on the heavy Decoy. Mine were all replaced last year. Luckily I have a great bike store around the corner from where I live, and if I struggle at all with...

    Decoy frame bearings

Yeah those are a right PITA! Had to take mine to the bike store around the corner from where I live to get those replaced. Managed to remove/regrease all the others recently.

    YT Decoy 700WH battery

YT will have something up their sleeves in regards a new Decoy for sure. But it's highly unlikely we'll see a bigger battery for the existing Decoy. The demand for lithium for batteries has pushed the price of lithium up 500% the last year, so 3 year old models will be very low down on the...
