Other Where are the 2025 Trek Rail+ Gen 5 reviews?

There are several different Garmin adapters which replace the stem end cap, but I have been using the K-Edge cap, it has been easy to use and very secure. https://k-edge.com/products/gravity-top-cap-mount?srsltid=AfmBOor0K0vAl3K1_6gUNI_2RRcZHmrxL5MAYiPo3FJVoDF3q0czeYk9 For me it worked fine...

Levo 4 EVO Comp or Trek Rail+ 9.8 GX

I don't have any experience with the LEVO 4 EVO, but I've had the RAIL+ 9.8 GX for over a year and have been happy with it. No technical issues what so ever, but I have made some upgrades to fit better my riding style. Brakes and stock tires are probably still the weak points, if it still comes...

120 Nm update for the Bosch CX and CX Race Announced

I have Trek RAIL+ and both performance updates (original 1.0, 100Nm and 2.0, 120Nm) went smoothly, no need for deleting the Flow app (Android) or emptying the cache. However, in both cases update was not available the day they said it will be, I had to wait for 1-2 days. I am totally fine with...

Bosch Gen 5 Rumour - More Power updates coming!

Yes, it was also now published on Bosch website: https://www.bosch-ebike.com/us/news/newfeatures-2026-05 and Pinkbike among others: https://www.pinkbike.com/news/bosch-launches-firmware-update-for-existing-motors-more-torque-higher-assistance.html

Bosch Gen 5 Rumour - More Power updates coming!

Check the latest Bosch update videos, there is some hope that Garmin integration is finally coming. More torque and assist is fine, but I am prob more excited about this : 5.1K views · 67 reactions | Ready for an upgrade? New features for your eMTB are coming on May 4. Stay tuned. 👀 | Bosch...

    New Amflow April 9 specs

Based on ebike-mtb.com actual measurements, the Amflow PR Carbon Pro (Size L) weighs in at 24.2kg (53.3lbs), not sure if that's with or without pedals. https://ebike-mtb.com/en/amflow-pr-carbon-pro-test/

Does Bosch's wheelie/manual measurement work without Kiox 400c?

The sensors detecting jumps, wheelies, and stoppies are in the Bosch motor. So, these features work regardless of the display for both Bosch CX Gen 4 and Gen 5 systems.

    Bosch Flow 1.34 features

Yes, it is annoying, to silence your Kiox, go to Settings > My Kiox > Volume and select Off. You can also choose Low, Medium, or High. I think the sounds are really only useful if you rely on Kiox navigation alerts.

Bosch Gen 5 Rumour - More Power updates coming!

Just wanted to add that the Bosch CX Gen 5 already supports SRAM derailleurs powered directly by the e-bike battery. For some reason this isn't always implemented, but for instance, my Trek Rail+ 9.8 GX has it. Currently, Bosch hasn't released the Auto Shift or Coast Shift features for SRAM, but...

What would you like from your next ebike?

How about better reliability? It would be nice to have a 300% longer MTBF (mean time between failures).

Which Chainring on the Bosch CX Gen5 motor?

I've also been wondering what the difference is between the Bosch Gen 4 and Gen 5 chainrings. I ended up ordering a specific SRAM Gen 5 chainring for my Bosch Gen 5, which, of course, fit perfectly. The chainline (55 mm) and mounting seem identical, but SRAM has separate models and part numbers...

    🔋 Semi-Solid-State batteries revolution!

The first solid-state battery motorbike has just been released. I wonder how long it will take before we see the first EMTB with this technology? https://www.donutlab.com/battery/

    Can ODO readings be trusted?

At least Bosch and Brose (Levo) both store the ODO value in the motor, so if the motor is replaced, the ODO will reset to zero.

Eurobike 2025: The DJI Flood Begins

I fully agree the motor and battery power-to-weight ratio is an interesting comparison, but it doesn't tell you anything about the real performance. It's, of course, obvious, but the motor and battery themselves don't move anywhere, nor does the bike itself. To consider the real power to weight...

Bosch Kiox 400: Display total ride time?

This is the complete list of customizable Kiox 400c display options with the latest SW version. I think the "Time" setting displays the clock time, so I don't believe there's a way to display the total ride time as you described. Ascent Battery (eBike) Battery (Smartphone) Cadence & cadence avg...

    Bosch Kiox 400c Retro-Fit

I just updated my software to enable custom screens for the Kiox 400c and made a very quick test. Screen configuration tool is easy to use and works well, but I could not find the motor power option in the selection list. The only relevant option I found was the motor share option, which...

    2025 Orbea Wild to Mullet

The wheel circumference setting in the Kiox and the Flow app only affects the displayed speed and the calculated distance. This setting does not impact the motor cut-off speed. This is an internal setting that can only be changed with service software. That's why you have to take it to the...

    Bosch's eMTB+ vs Turbo

Based on this German Velomotion YouTube video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMiJn5Sevq0&list=LL&index=1 there is a clear difference when the rider's input power (Eingangsleistung) is less than 150 W. When you put in more than 200 W, there is no difference. Based on this Velomotion video, I did some...

Other Where are the 2025 Trek Rail+ Gen 5 reviews?

It is 205 x 65 and there is unfortunately no way to use a longer stroke shock, so you have to stick with the stock size - which is fine, it has real 160 mm travel unlike some others that have shorter real travel than advertised. From the Trek FAQ: Is the bike compatible with aftermarket...

    Cube one77 2025

The following idea is not a solution for clipping a pedal or a replacement for shorter cranks. In my experience, however, plastic pedals like the OneUp Composite Flats can also help to reduce the risk of high speed crashes. I've never heard this discussed or considered as a benefit of composite...
