My last test was a bike wash, and I found that a small amount of water got into the case. Though it should be noted I use a worx cordless pressure washer so this is "worst case"

I redesigned the case to be a tighter fit against the rubber seal so no water gets in now, but for extra safety added 2 small drain holes on the back.

I can't add discount codes to ebay but I do want to support this forum as people have been so friendly and helpful over the years, so if you add a note with "EMTBFORUMS" on it, I will do a partial refund of £3 when I post the item so you will pay £25.99. I think this price is competitive considering the cost of the M1 equivalent and the 19 different versions and 6 weeks of design & testing that has gone into it

On the Bosch Kiox 400C display, is it possible to configure a screen showing two data fields — one for rider power (the power actively generated on the pedals, in watts) and the other for motor power (the power delivered by the drive unit)?

I’m looking for user's confirmation, or confirmation from the user manual, on whether this specific combination of data can be displayed simultaneously on the Kiox 400C.

I just updated my software to enable custom screens for the Kiox 400c and made a very quick test. Screen configuration tool is easy to use and works well, but I could not find the motor power option in the selection list. The only relevant option I found was the motor share option, which displays the average percentage of power between the rider and the motor. This information is updated every second, but it seems to be an average reading for the entire ride. Hopefully, the motor power option will be included in the next update. This is how it looks:

Hey,

anyone considered increasing the hole on the frame to allow fitting this screen? Yes, it would probably void the warranty but it would look very nice!

It's a pity the 400c - AFAIU - is not compatible with my 2021 Trek Powerfly Gen 2.

What should be developed is a way to decode the communications among the motor, the battery and the Kiox. At that point one could think to make an app that talk directly to the bike and download whatever we like.

I found someone tried long ago to retroengineer that but didn't succeeded.

Unfortunately I only ship to UK - and even then the postage costs these days are getting so bad that I'm thinking of just not doing any 3d prints anymore

Costs overseas would make it very expensive, plus there's import/export paperwork

I've also only sold 3 of these and 2 were returned because for some reason people thought they were a frame adapter like above. It doesn't seem like many people are interested in upgrading to the 400c which is weird because I absolutely love just having the mini remote on the bar now instead of the old brick.

Ohh that's a shame, yes is a perfect upgrade to erase the ugly led unit control , more clean , thanks and regards

I installed mine some days ago, it is a nice compromise althoygh lo as clean as the OEM installation.
