what things do people use to carry bare essentials for trips (spare tube, tubeless plugs, pump)? - links to good bags/under saddle/on frame carriers. or suitable rucksack etc welcomed. I have a good backpack with waist water bladder, but don't always want even that bulk with me.....
Having seen the benefits of tubeless recently (30km ride which my wife had to push 4 km to the bike shop at halfway having run over a thorn on the towpath - and then push 3km at the end omn the way back for the same reason) I've just converted her bike to tubeless too.
But how often do people...
has anyone experimented with attaching a second battery to the downtube? Seems to me it would fit there, though holding it securely might be a challenge. Duct tape?! closed cell foam between the two and tight velcro strapping would probably work though. Be nicer than in a backpack.....
my LBS has honoured their side of a deal we did and are offering me the 700W battery for a very good price. Now, since I've hardly had the to actually ride the damn thing, I have no good metrics for deciding whether I need a second battery, but I'm assuming it will generally be a useful thing...
