Garmin watch data field for Shimano STEPS EMTBs

Hello all - I've just got a Garmin Epix gen 2 sapphire - I've downloaded Jans app to the Connect IQ.....I'm on a Shimano steps bike. Can anyone idiot walk me through how to actually get the app data fields onto my watch while I'm riding the e-bike? I've paired the watch to the bike - what do I...

    Marin Alpine Trail E1/2 thread

95kg kitted up and 450lb here on a medium E2. Feels perfect to me, hit the rough stuff on it and it is fine, never feel I'm bottoming out. the Marin is a very progressive geom, hence why it seems you use a lighter spring - on another bike I'd be a 500 - deffo.

Medium, double check with the lad at cycle solutions about what bottle will fit a small with the adaptor. He's great to deal with and will be straight with you.

A specialized side loading cage and a Camelback podium 650ml bottle 👍 I did file down the inner lip on the spesh bottle cage to make a better fit but as it is only plastic was a 2 minute job. I know it looks tight but there is loads of adjustment on the slots where the cage is bolted on, I have...

Fairly sure the lad at Cycle Solutions will sort you out. I've got the 3D printed adaptor on mine (a medium) and there is loads of wriggle room.

Fairly certain it won't, have you looked into a range extender instead?

What tyres? The Ultimate Tyre Thread

Be wary of the vee attack, had 2. First one was fine but the second one had a wobble baked into the carcass that you could feel when riding - also incredibly hard to get the rimpact to fit, where with the Assegai it was a breeze. I think the Assegai is a lot more grippy as well.

Just changed mine last week! binned the chain - sorry. I fitted a 130 link chain and had to remove 3 links I think.

What tyres? The Ultimate Tyre Thread

Exactly this. nothing beats trying it for yourself. Heard countless 'best tyre ever - end of' type comments when in reality they could be riding in sand and rock with no moisture and you are in wet forests. Not saying NOT to listen to others, but as you say...

    Marin Alpine Trail E1/2 thread

Not gonna lie, I wouldn't have accepted the bike like that, as the specs (including cassette and hubs) was a big part of why I went for an E2. It's scandalous that in order to get it back to 'as advertised' you'd have to change the rims as well. I'd be asking Marin to pay for that - I was pissed...

Is the e13 crank issue now fixed?

Much the same as me, bought some XTs myself but when Marin sent the replacements I sold em on.

Is the e13 crank issue now fixed?

Mate get onto Orbea. Marin replaced my E13 cranks for XT cranks for free as soon as I told them I was worried about this issue. Hope your motor is in warranty!

Anyone got a OneUp EDC Tap Kit that I can borrow?

Rather be riding. Unfortunately he said he's stopping doing the EDC caps though, I ordered 2 and he gave me the other 2 free as they were the last ones. Perhaps if you mailed him he'd do em again? Said they were difficult to produce at the right quality. Failing that I'm happy to send you one of...
