Thanks. TQ said it was a known problem and they recently issued an update to the iOS app that solved it for me. My firmware was up to date but their app had a bug that they fixed.

Yes! TQ said it was a known problem and they updated the app a week ago. That solved it for me. I updated my app (Apple) and didn’t need to uninstall/reinstall.

I don’t think there’s any accurate way to determine your power without a power meter. If you had experience with one in the past you could get a rough estimate based on your perceived exertion and heart rate and the time or average speed comparison from other rides. I know TQ has said not to...

I’ve read several posters here claim the new motor fits the old frame. If that’s true, I don’t see why you seem to think it’s too late.

It couldn’t hurt if we email specialized support with our motor upgrade hopes, and emphasize how that would insure brand loyalty in the future. I’ll do that right now.

I’d like to get your take on the motor noise too, after a good ride or two. I think I’ve read that you have or had both the gen 1 Levo sl and the fuel exe. If so, a comparison and ranking of the three motors would be really helpful!

That’s my question too. The TQ motor sets a pretty high bar and unless specialized comes very close, it’s not enough upgrade for me.

I agree with your sentiments! How hard could it be to design the new motor to fit the current frame, or make a mounting bracket they allows it? More profits with new bike sale than new motor sale, I guess. Unless the new motor is a step up from the TQ I don’t think that strategy is going to work...
