your right, a lot more information than what others have put out that have this new power unit. Mid April will soon come round.

I get the point, but it's sort of irrelevant. It does the same range as a Bosch 750wh. I know what rides I've done on a 800wh with a bit left. It's easy enough to translate what they said into numbers suitable for everyone. I'm 100kg. I think 30 miles and 5500ft of climbing will be possible based off what they have released. Plenty for me. On the extreme rare case I do a bigger ride and can't charge at lunch, there are plenty of extenders coming out for DJI. Maybe once a year I would need that though

i Agree with your point. But unless you’re 75kgs and know what setting we’re set to in ECO mode how can you gauge range.? On my AMflow I can see around 30 miles with 15% left useing a mix of trail , mode, auto, turbo and boost with its 800w battery. A smaller battery means I am going to have to re tune to more use in ECO mode and or start carrying a range extension, which I don’t want to do. A smaller battery won’t work for me., even more so if this new motor has a power increase to 130nm etc like rumours suggest.

i run my druid in auto tuned down to 600wh and 60nm my friend has his druid in 400wh and 60nm. I weigh 92kg he weighs 80kg his drains 10% quicker than mine. I would be smoked on 600wh battery even turned down. I still think atherton could do a 600wh, id be surprised if theres a new 700wh/750wh if the next gen druids are confirmed to have choice of 600 or 800.

From what I am Told the new AMflow has the same 600/800 with a larger one to follow.

Why embargo the battery capacity if it's using the existing one?

when you tune your motor down you use the unit w, not wh. wh is the unit for the battery capacity which stays the same…

I have no experience of the Bosch 750w motor other one 1 hr ride, i was not impressed in comparison with the DJI unit, and can easily see why the likes of UNNO said that they just had to have the DJI unit over the Bosch one.

From what I have heard AMflow will have a 600 and 800 batt option. They have said that they didn’t want the biggest Batt option.

So the 600wh will do the same range as a bosch 750wh with the power settings set to be the same? I highly doubt that. No matter how efficient the new motor is. The bosch from my own experience is a more efficient motor than at least the current dji.

There was talk (as everything is just talk and hearsay) that the new 800 will be the same size as the 600 and a new 1000wh will be the same size as the current 800wh.
That would be amazing, but just rumours
 
There is no way DJI have done some miracle with motor or battery tech to give the same range from a 600 as the Bosch system from 750.

But if they did, well, then you can't use capacity as a valid comparison, its the range that matters.
And that would be brilliant for us as riders, same outcome for less weight/size etc, sign me up for that!
I'll take a 400wh battery/motor system that gives me the same range as a 800wh every day of the week please....
But there won't be a huge jump in motor and batteries efficiency to achieve this more than small iterative steps.

There are so many variables that effect range from rider weight, to temperature etc that there is nothing that they can put out that you can't say, what about this scenario.

Its going to be something 750ish.....
IF you think 800ish is not enough for you, then you'll have to pick a bike with 1000, or a range extender.

I have heard that they have a new 900 thats the same size dimensions as the current 800 and it will be compatible with the old system.

This was my reading also. Albeit from what I am told the new AMflow at launch will come with a 600/800 option. Guess we will know on the 9th of next month.
 
I understand the new Anflow will be show to dealers soon, so would expect the battery spec etc to be known, to a few in the right circles.

It's possible that it's a different from factor (i.e. narrower) that is still compatible with existing frames. This might explain the Atherton bike getting away with the narrow tubular down tube.
