Super morzine road gap. First visit since 2019. I had never done this previously, so pleased to get it ticked off last year.
Age 54.
On my Nicolai DH bike here but I did do it on my kenevo afterwards.

It's been quite a year so far. I had triple bypass surgery in January. Just a little minor surgery. It was a shock to everybody, I'm the healthy one. The doc told me it can be hereditary. My dad had a heart attack at 62. My dad was the same, super healthy. He blamed my mom for feeding him meat. I haven't eaten meat for 8 years. It wasn't a big heart attack, like open the pearly gates I'm coming. My BP was high (180/89) so my wife and I drove to the hospital. There i stayed for the next 13 days.

I've been back on the bike for a few months now. It always feels so good to be out there, but now it's extra special. Plus now I got a big gnarly scar on my chest. Chick's dig scars, right?

Good to see you are out riding again and hopefully that is the end of that. Ride safe.

Glad you got that sorted. I also have what looks like an open heart op scar on my chest ....160mm ..but that was a BCC (skin cancer) cut out in January this year. Like you I am healthy ( albeit a bit ancient) and fit and it appeared out of nowhere. I don't blame my diet or sun exposure (I'm in the UK !). Fit sports people of all ages have been hit with a variety of unexpected health issues.....I know what I blame...and its not red meat!!
