Yes terrible rain this past couple months. and my area on your map is not too bad it's white. Tomorrow will tell. All parked up at Dark Sky Site for the night so it will be cloudy. Ben Rinnes today walking before the rain started so can't complain. Bike tomorrow though. Ben Rinnes is doable but haven't got two batteries. Mole catcher in his wee buggy.
Was raining here all night (in the UK deep south). Was going out tomorrow but now can't be arsed in this drive train killer muck.

Blue skies above the Yorkshire Dales today 
Early start nice clear dry morning. Went to Knochkan bothy by a different route. Stayed there last year plenty firewood none this time. Clean and tidy in living room and bedroom. Brave lad who would bare their bum in the composite toilet though. Very muddy trail back following the Smugglers path . Plenty deer and this is a big sheep area so I wonder if thats why Highland Spring water tastes so good. Tourists love paying a fortune to get knocked silly in a land rover following this path during Speyside Whisky festival . Carried on up to Scalan college a seminar for young lads going to be priests when Catholicism was banned . Would have been a very bleak place in the 1700ds I imagine for a young loon. Don't have to go far sometimes for a decent ride out only 30 miles from me . Any excuse for a night away in the wee van on my own. Got to try out my free toasty grill thing and it is great and it was a freeby . Apologiesfor so manypictures. .

Interesting pictures.
First 'proper' ride in about 5 weeks since I had surgery on my foot. Still not pushing hard, but nice to be back in the woods rather than on cycle paths and roads!
Like several above... I thought I'd try and stay out of the messy stuff (avoiding puddles and particularly muddy bits), but it didn't make much difference. Stupidly, I didn't wash the bike when I got home (my daughter wanted to go out for a bit), so washing this off once it has properly dried in was a proper PITA!
The good news is my $35 Fox Defend shorts from Aliexpress showed up and the look pretty good! The bad news is my $35 Fox Defend shorts from Aliexpress showed up and the zipper fell off AFTER I took them off! The shorts will go into my Summer breeze Collection for those days requiring extra Ventilation in crotch area

Any seamstress/tailor should be able to fix a new zip to those. Vancouver will have a choice of small businesses that offer clothing repairs and alterations. If you don't see any, ask at your dry cleaners for a recommendation. The only thing they may not be able to do is to offer waterproof repairs. If you need a special zip, you may have to find it yourself, loads of places on the internet.

You Brits and all your green, lush pics of riding areas...LOL! KnollyBro, you could have come up with a better story than that for the wardrobe failure on your shorts. You know..."I was riding by a Gentleman's Club when a really good looking gal stepped out and..." the rest to the imagination.
This weekend I'm hoping to take my Rail 7 for its first trip out to our off road club of which I've been a member for many years. We actually have Baja truck races there along with national enduros and such. It can be googled at Texana Ranch or Ross Creek Trailriders. If everything works out I'll take some pictures of our not-so-lush west Texas terrain with big hills, cactus, and cedar bushes...LOL!

Haha ... I am sure the original feature was built back when Wade was the King of Shore (mid 90s) and I bet he did it! He is still the Godfather of Mountain Biking and would probably hit it when it gets finished.KnollyBro, me and Wade Simmons were riding by that future road gap being built and said, "No Way!"
This trail was the most difficult on the Shore and preceded the trail with the big drops and jumps on it I was riding near today.
This is a video of "back in the day" when the North Shore earned its rep for being extreme. Most of these features have rotted away to the point they are unridable.
The trend these days is to use more of the natural features and less build up structures which are time consuming to keep in good working order.
