I added a marine horn alongside the bear bells and apart from being deaf for an hour after blasting - it has moved the lingering black bear along, its the grizzly bears that are pretty unpredictable in my experience - but I would still rather deal with bears than the creepy crawlies of our...

that's quite the compliment coming from a Scot - surely our appetite has a touch of the "haggis" brought over from our forefathers - now I wish I could get over checking the Dandy Don's football scores every week that my long departed Aberdeen dad followed like a religion - man its tough getting...

After spending a month in the Cook Islands (Rarotonga) thought I would post a couple of pics from the trip. We rented e-bikes for the month that were mostly tanks with rear hub drives and anytime I went near a hill it would power out. I have a whole new appreciation for my old levo. Each...

Lots of factors at play of course mostly depending on how use to humans they are, they put down 21 problematic bears over the last 3 weeks in Prince George- maybe a biking holiday in Britain would be a good idea at least to hibernation season 😉

I find the rechargeable marine air horn easier than yelling usually give a blast entering tight spots, berry crop in our area slim pickings this year so it seems more bears wandering

coincidence just spent the day planning and booking 3 week vacation in November to Funchal - you best bring your own bike as 3 week rental of an e-bike (fully - whatever that is, suspension I guess) is 1000 euros - the battery and air travel not an option of course so will have to pick a couple...
