Yeah you northerners have some really nice close trails. Everything is 35 to an hour for me but I don’t care. I’ll drive anywhere for a ride lol.

Based in Melbourne on the Mornington Peninsula
Mainly ride around Lysterfield and Red Hill but about to head off to Derby Tasmania for a week later this month
Very excited

Oh nice, I love Redhill! Great for ebikes!

Lystys a good all rounder. I go there a bit too.
Have you done Silvan?

I'm Sydney based but try to go down to Derby four times a year. My 'best' mate has a place down there, awesome. Derby was made for Ebikes, no need for shuttles. Can hire Trek & Levos there no problems.
Derby is my happy place.

Sounds great. What do you do with the battery for domestic flying?

Did Silvan once and damaged the derailer want to go back once it has dried out also yet to try You Yangs

I broke my derailleur there too, must be the air. Mine just randomly broke while coasting up a hill.
You gotta do You Yangs man, it’s a great place. Especially on an ebike!
I may need to organise a group E-ride by the looks of things.

In the Glasshouse Mts, single trail starts 5m from my shed door, weather fantastic, got 3 or 4 bike specific riding areas within 30/40 mins from my place, LIVING THE DREAM!
State Forrest for miles and miles. Been into the Boneyards yet ?

I'm working on the Peninsula for three weeks in October and I was hoping to go to Red Hill as I'd heard you can hire bikes from a nearby shop.
These plans look to have been scuppered though as I've got plans for both the weekends I'm there now. May still take a drive down to have a mooch about one evening though. What time does is get dark Down Under in October?

After 6 th oct day light savings changes so sunset will be around 7.30 pm ...so if you can hire a bike for the evening and fit some light.....

No I haven't but done a bit of trail riding on KTM300 on the eastern side of the hwy around Wild Horse Mt, but figured it's a bit flat and sandy for the ebike, prefer some hills where you can grin going up them at how wrong it is and get that bit of adrenaline on the way down the other side. Have tried Henesey's downhill a couple of time, but figuring I need to get a bit more skill before attempting again after nearly launching off jump in the wrong direction and ending up off the track. One of those 'instant sweat' moments, called it a day after that which was my 3rd run down it, and 3rd climb up the 4wd track next to it. Still had a ball, just erring on the side of caution that only getting old can teach you.
By the way they are top pics of you at Sugarbag Rd, never been there but work up in Buderim so should bring my bike to work and check it out on the way home one night

Taswegians have only just discovered the penny farthing, cut them some slack.

For sure, as there’s lots at the Bag to love.
Boneyards is hilly. It’s the section of natural forest at the Caloundra turnoff. Boundaries are The Hyw, Steve Irwin and old Caloundra rd. Can find the trails on the app Komoot. Well worth checking out.

25 years ago I was still mining in the Northwest of WA, been here just over 20 now though.
I feel a bit lucky living here, small town (about 26k) but 4 bike shops all about 5 minutes apart and spoilt for choice, Merida, Specialised, Rocky Mountain, Sata Cruz, Scott, Giant, Pivot, Yeti, Trek and more to choose from.

I can ride out of my front gate, ride up a laneway between two houses about 50 metres away and I'm in the bush and on the trails. Last weekend saw the Redback MTB event held here. Google it and you'll see some awesome trail footage.

Loved the Alice...like riding on Mars with more rocks I heard it said. I rode the Redback on my Powerfly LT, what an event. Dead right, great shops and service.

I’m in Kununurra in a 1000 mile bike dead spot - Broome or Darwin and not so much on the e bike. But some rad trails if not lots of km.

Pretty much sums it up!

Melbourne - Macedon Ranges .20 mins from the Wombat Trails and forest .
Great for exploring !
Also Lysterfield , You Yangs , Rob Roy or Smiths Gully .but I don’t enjoy winter so have ridden approx 200 kms since June .
Just getting back on it now !

Newcastle here , I ride lots of places , spent all last week riding around Jolly Nose MTB park near Bonny Hills , some great fun trails there but a lot of them are a bit tight and twisty on a modern long /slack enduro style rig like my Norco Sight VLT 2 . I balance my Ebike riding with Moto enduro riding an some Moto Adv riding too , can't have too many toys with 2 wheels can you ?

Surprisingly few votes from Sydney so far. I'm up on the Northern Beaches and the place is made for e-bikes - lots of steep terrain but not really accessible for shuttling, so the e-bike makes perfect sense.
