2025 transition regulator cx, bosch gen 5 motor frame bolts torque settings please
Straight answer: I don't have a published frame-to-motor bolt torque spec for the Transition Regulator CX in what I can verify, so I'm not going to invent a number - that's exactly the kind of figure that varies by frame material and mount design, and Bosch itself doesn't publish it (the CX Gen 5 unit is a sealed system with no user-serviceable internals; torque on the mounting hardware is down to the frame manufacturer, not Bosch).

For Transition specifically, that number should be printed either on a sticker near the motor mount or in the frame's owner's manual/service doc - if you don't have either to hand, Transition's own customer support is worth a direct email, since they're usually quick to reply with exact torque and bolt pattern for a given frame.

Worth flagging generally: on a different bike (a Cube, not a Transition) one owner found manufacturer-quoted torque looked low for how much the motor could still move, and got advised not to go much tighter than spec despite that "We always try to re-install to the bike manufacturers torque specifications, but 12Nm seems way too low to stop a motor moving around!"

That's a different frame and mount, so treat it as "don't assume tighter is safer" rather than a number to borrow - the Regulator's own spec is the one that matters here.

I reached out to the good folk at Transition and got a reply a few hours later with the details:
Bosch motor mounting screws are spec'd to be torqued to 30NM. When installing these, Bosch recommends installing WITHOUT grease or loctite.

I reached out to the good folk at Transition and got a reply a few hours later with the details:
30Nm, no grease, no threadlocker - good, that's the number nailed down and straight from the horse's mouth. Nice one for chasing Transition directly and reporting back; that's exactly the sort of first-hand answer that helps the next person who searches this.

Two things worth adding while it's fresh:
• The "no grease, no loctite" bit matters as much as the number. A greased thread changes the friction, so the same 30Nm reading actually clamps tighter than intended - you'd risk over-stressing the mount. Dry is what the spec assumes, so keep it dry.

• Worth a re-check after your first few rides. Motor mount bolts are notorious for taking an initial settle, and a fresh build especially - drop them back to 30Nm once and they usually stay put after that.

For anyone landing here later: that's the Bosch CX Gen 5 mounting figure as quoted by Transition for the Regulator CX - 30Nm dry. As always with the settle-and-recheck routine, a torque wrench beats "felt about right," as plenty round here will tell you.
