Bought a M20 full 29 and the only thing left besides the frame, its the saddle. Quite comfortable for long rides. Average 40kms/+2000m in auto mode.
Everything else is gone. lost a bunch of weight also.

Nice. Looking forward to getting my M20 in a few weeks. Do you mind sharing some build specs and weight of the bike? Let’s see some pics.

Is anyone with a 2027 wild LT having issues changing the wheel size and chainring in the app? When i first got the bike these options were available but now they appear locked out.....Have tried unpairing, deleting all bike data, creating a new account on avinox, no success.

So looking at eBikes, most of them whether general trail bikes like the Druid E, the Pivot Ampd, the Yeti LTE, or longer travel bikes like the Wild LT, they all seem to float around 23kg. Pedalling efficiency, particularly with Avinox, doesn't seem to be a concern. on an ebike. Does a bike like the Wild LT really feel much less nimble than the Pivot or Forbidden - there's no real weight penalty, so it comes down to a little slacker, 1cm more travel at the front and a couple more at the rear. Is that really enough to make it less enjoyable as a trail bike? I read the high position sharpens things up.

Note that I tend to prefer wheels on ground rather than looking for air, I wouldn't know what to do with a "playful" bike. I'm in my mid 50s, I tend to be a one bike guy. My Yeti SB140 LR (140R, 160F) is plenty capable but I tend to suffer hand pain, even with a 35mm riser and some spacers. I am looking at eBikes to help a bit with the climbs, and particularly at bikes with a higher stack than my Yeti that push the weight away from my hands on the long flat bits between the fun stuff. I keep coming back to the Wild as ticking a lot of boxes and having a motor tune that appeals. On paper it looks like a trail bike with a bit too much travel, that weighs the same as "proper" trail bikes. It looks like a do it all machine, albeit more capable than I need, but aside from travel it ticks every box.

Has anyone been able to find a M20 in medium in stock in the UK in any other colour than that god awful gold?! I can get a decent deal on one right now after swapping the fork/shock for a Zeb ultimate/Vivid ultimate but hate the colour. My local Orbea dealer is a tiny shop, he only got the one bike and said he won’t get anything else until March 2027!

To be clear, I haven't ridden the new Orbea Wild.

What you determined about weight, is mostly true and weight is primarily a result of the build spec and battery size chosen as the CF frames and motor systems mostly weigh about the same and being centrally located matters much less anyways.
What you post misses is that other factors effect the playful feel, beyond weight. Geo, travel, location of weight, etc. Are you aware for example that long skinny 800wh batteries that place a lot of weight towards the front of the bike are sort of universally disliked by experienced ebike riders and reviewers?
If my riding was as you described, I'd buy the Bosch lower travel version Wild with the 600wh battery, then I'd weight weenie it and have a 45# trail ebike.

Yeah, I get that. But look, all the bikes I mentioned have a big 800wh battery. They are all carrying about the same weight, and about the same place. Druid aside, they all have similar ish stack and reach numbers. But the Wild sits on 10mm more suspension.

I absolutely want the 800wh battery. I want the range. 600wh is not enough. A short analogue ride is 30km for me on MTB and 50km on road. Longer is 55km on the mtb and 85km on my road bike. I can't see 600wh being nearly enough unless it was a bikepark only toy.

As I say, the RS tune really appeals. But if the Orbea is going to be a horrible tank in MX mode in comparison to the Druid E then clearly the Druid is the bike to buy. But is it going to feel that much less agile, really? I get that the trail will feel more numb, so less exciting at slower speeds, but I can't see the Wild actually being slower.

Battery size is out of the equation anyway, most of these bikes, certainly both the Druid and the Orbea can be had with a 600w if really desired.

Horrible tank? No.
Do I think the E-Druid will be a notably more nimble trail oriented platform out of those two, absolutely.
GL!
Ps. You sound fit. Inputting the same power, but maybe increasing average speed around 30-50%, I'd expect an 800wh battery to provide enough range for over 50 kms on your trail rides as long as you don't run in turbo the entire time.

Hi guys, I'm new to this. I just ordered the M10 carbon model, and I want to make a few changes before buying insurance for the bike, such as:

Renthal Fatbar Carbon35, 40mm rise, 800mm wide, 35mm clamp.

Galfer Wave 223mm Center Lock front rotor + SB002 adapter (+20mm, from 203mm to 223mm).

What else would you change?

I’m keeping:
-FOX 38 Factory - GRIP X2 170 mm

-Shimano XT M8220

-OQUO MC32 TEAMPOWER

-Maxxis Assegai DH TR (Front), Maxxis Minion DHR II DH TR (Rear)

*I live in the Alps, so that will be my riding environment

Last question: When I placed my order two weeks ago, the estimated shipping date was May 2027, and now if I were to order one, it would arrive around December 2026... Does that mean mine will arrive earlier, or will it still be in May?

Thank you

The guy I purchased my own Wild from has 2 LT M20s in stock, in the magic gold color, a M & a L at $7700 and can upgrade parts as needed.
Can ship in the USA and no sales tax for outside of CA.
If anyone needs one now, PM me and I'll share the dealer's mobile number.

You dealer will get repeated updates of the delivery time of your order. Just keep asking him now and then. But it´s likely that your order will arrive around end of 26 then.

What did you get the weight down to?

I would be interested if I could get a straight answer about class 3. There was also talk about not being able to set wheel size, chainring size or cassette.

I put a text in to him to see if he could get a straight answer. He knows bikes and he'll figure it out pretty quickly I presume.

For you, it would be an easy drive.

If anyone in Continental US wants a matching Fox fork for their 2027 Wild M20 I have this one available:

This will only work for users looking to disregard the 15.5 mph EU speed limit and gaining 20 mph Class 1 speed. Orbea's doesn't want their Avinoxs to exceed 20 mph anywhere, so there's no vpn trick to gain Class 3 capability.

The Rep's comment touches on what I'm thinking is the most interesting aspect of this decision now... Awareness. Orbea, bike shops, and even members of the press; should be bringing clarity and awareness that Orbea's RS (Restricted Speed) Avinox has a lower speed potential than all the other Avinox motors. I think it's outright negligent to pontificate about the secret RS sauce without mentioning it uniquely limits the motor to 20 mph worldwide. It's only going to cause problems for Orbea, their dealers, and customers if this isn't communicated clearly.
100 percent you can't do the VPN hack, even tried a company in Australia to do it no joy, then tried the flash version from ebike plus that didn't work either looking like the peartune chip is the only way , contacted peartune who confirmed the chip will work
