Yeah, he was hoping they would be here end of next week, but I'm a little skeptical on that. I think realistically, getting out of the port and across the country will probably take longer then a week (probably 2).

Hey team,
Hows all your FLux going? We need some more pics!

Quick question, is Apple Find my supported by the hardware fitted to the Flux? I cant see it as an option on my app. I had assumed it was, and whilst it wasnt the reason I went the Avinox route, it was a feature I was looking forward too using. On the main app screen it does show a location map with heading "Security" and the bikes location but not sure how its getting that location to my phone, probably just Bluetooth.

Edit- Might of found my answer
'The DP100 supports a 4G SIM card. While the DPC100 does not support a SIM card, it is compatible with Apple Find My, provided the respective e-bike manufacturer has completed Apple certification."

I can provide a Flux frame set image, but as far as giving an answer B Rabbit with your the tech question, l am quietly seated, l will be keen to hear the responses.

Pushys had a dramatic price drop recently on full frame Camo frame skin, $25. A pack, ordered 2 packs, was't sure how camo on black would turn out.... this all took me out of focus, sticking bits here and there becoming a mosaic game of pin the tail on the donkey, with so many camo pieces to choose from and with plenty of camo leftovers.

Looks good! Nice to see people slowly getting them :)
Thanks, yes l am keen to hear back on the PB full review with Flux done a while back.... have you achieved towards a smooth chain line from HP cog corresponding above chain ring.

Negative on the chainline misalignment, still out 2-3mm and I don’t think there is anything I can do about it. I have an inquiry in with the Aussie Teewing brand manager so will see what he comes back with.

In other news the chain dropped of the idler today and jammed itself up pretty good. Had to break the chain to get it out. I’ll check my chain length tomorrow, I am running a very well used 11 speed sram unit, maybe the clutch is worn out and let the chain get outta control, still, never dropped a chain on the Spesh Enduro it was installed on before.
Love the bike, it rips, coil shock feels way better then the air, but I’ll have a tinker with the air to see if I can close the gap.
I can’t believe how quiet the motor is, was riding with a mate on a Levo 4 and I could hear his motor as we rode next to each other but not mine.

I wondered on wether the misalignment to the chain line could potentially throw a chain. Clearly you can see the chain misalignment and then intern gave to the effect of fault and not yours.

Were we given answers to what caused the large frames to be delayed?.... Anyways mate by the sounds you've given clearly to the powers to be, you will be looked after.

Noticed you have the air shock, great a coil works sweet, are you running a progressive coil? l found it never being consistent to have that supple small bump plushness with air shocks, that said l will be running the air at first, the coil is going for a service, but l really want to give the air a good run.

Its good to hear you comment up there highly to your thoughts how this bike rips.... l cant wait to get this rolling and l actually met a guy riding one at my local last weekend, he said he had the 24 Norco Range not as stable as the Flux even in the short CS, but was recommended to lower the stem near flush too the HS top cup.

Taking frame to be assembled with the suspension tech on Monday, with more days of rain predicted, will take to the shovel at the local.... anticipating on a call alls in order to get go.

My Flux has perfect chainline, and the chain runs super smooth. Since changing the bent cage, the shifting is so quiet and smooth. And as you say. The motor is super quiet. Much quieter than my Amflow.

I think you need to get your idler alignment looked at Rabbit.

Apart from bending my derailleur cage on the first ride, which was my fault, not the bike. The bike has been brilliant. It's just so buttery smooth over bumps.

  1. Did the chain fall to the inboard or outboard side of the idler?
  2. If the gap between the idler and surrounding chainstay is unequal on each side, did it fall to the side with the bigger gap or the smaller one (I looked at your pics in an earlier post and it looked like the gap was bigger on the outboard side, but it was tough to tell)?
  3. If I understand the problem correctly, the chainring sits a few MM inboard of the idler (i.e. the chainring has a 55mm chainline, but the idler is more like 57mm+), correct?

If the chain indeed fell inboard, as if it was seeking alignment with the chainring, then, if it were my bike, I'd probably pick up an inexpensive chainring to use on the stock spider, with spacers to get it lined up with the idler, at least until an official solution comes from Teewing.

If the chain fell outboard, and there is indeed a bigger gap between the stay and idler on that side, I'd consider adding some material to supplement the built in rubber frame protection and act as a more comprehensive chain guide to keep it tracking straight onto the idler.

That is very charitable of you to consider that your clutch might be to blame, and more tension is generally better when it comes to keeping chains from derailing, but it seems unlikely to me that it is the root cause. Any slack on the bottom run of chain would need to be translated around either the chainring or cassette in order to generate excess slack at the idler. If the chain fell of the bottom section of the chainring, then then I'd certainly consider the clutch as a potential culprit.

1. Chain fell outboard
2. From memory the gap is fairly equal
3. Yes, Idler sits outside the chainring by a few mm, maybe 3.

Yes, I was very surprised to see the chain come off the idler, it just looks super secure. I dont suspect the idler being slightly off the 55mm chainline would effect holding the chain or not as the chain cross coming from either the low or high gear on the cassette would dwarf that.
And re suggesting the derailluer could of played a part, just want to be as charitable as possible as this could of just been a random one off event and until/if other people start having the same problem it could definitely be some sort of setup issue on my end.

A quick search of FB does show someone having a problem dropping the chain off the idler, according to the OP Teewing sent out a different "high pivot screw" (might be a slight translation problem there).

I will report back if the problem persists :)

Teewing (DJI Avinox) Owners Club - TWOC I bought this bike but the chain has come off multipl...webp

Teething issues aside, just want to iterate how awesome this bike is. Apart from a bit more adjustment in the chainstay department I dont think there is a thing id change on it. It rips! (both up and down)

On technical terrain. The Flux is second to none. But on trail rides like riding the Centenary Trail. At 20kgs, the lightness of the Amflow is just a bit better. But there's not much in it. Where as on downhill technical, the Flux is just so far ahead of the Amflow.

But I definitely will use my Amflow when riding with my partner. She doesn't do Technical.

But so far so good. I can thoroughly recommend the Flux as a downhill plough. And with the M2S. It does seem to climb well. Just not as well as a full power SL EMTB like the Amflow Pro.

Mine is supposed to be here this month. This month is quickly coming to an end. Communication hasn't been the greatest from them, but I'm keeping my hopes up. I sent a text and got no response, sent another text and got this response.

Hey Bryan - Sorry for the slow response. We've got some progress and setbacks at the same time. I should have some answers in the morning. We're getting frames air shipped now as well because of delays. Will reach out tomorrow.

That was on the 19th and I never got another text. Now that the remembrance weekend is over, I'll reach out again this week.

Realistically, I'm not sure how many different manufactures are delivering on bikes right now. So, even if I wanted to go a different route, it's going to be hard to get something as well equipped for the same amount of money.
Did you (or anyone else ordering from Drip like @Lawndart ), ever get your bikes? Given how many people on the thread mentioned placing orders, I've been a little puzzled by the lack of enthusiastic "unboxing" posts and 1st ride reports? I see now Drip is talking about August deliveries, but wasn't sure if that was just for new orders, or if they've pushed back the OGs like yourself to August too.

Last communication I had with him (last week), the bikes were in the US (at the port) and on the way. He was hoping to have them by this week. I was probably one of the first group to purchase but I'm not sure how many bikes are in this order and if they are coming in in waves.

I ended up cancelling my order and going a different route. Drip E-Bikes refunded all my money except for $150. Wrote that off as a processing fee. I’ve since bought a Levo 4 Expert through Specialized’s Veteran program, took delivery 5 days after I ordered it and have put in 2-3 rides a week since.

First test run 50m from home and boom! Speed sensor issue.... Pretty frustrating, but anyways, reading up with the situation says the magnet is requiring precise connection to reading at the sensor. Precise disc placement is required or there is a possible cable connection requires reseating with motor.

Axel wheel tight new pads all good l then fit 6 thin shims to each rotor bolt that pressed in between brake rotor and avinox sensory disc, a repositioning sensory disc closer to the magnet.... to no positive result in clearing up problem.

Still yet to remove the motor and check sensor cable.... My question to anyone who has worked on motor assembly ? l did not reassemble the bike, any tips on removal to motor, l could try this myself as a self help fix 😀 otherwise back to the tech next week.

Can l leave cranks on and simply remove the chain the bash guard, also can one motor bolt be removed and to then loosen the other in as supporting motor position, then swing motor out of the way to free cables?
Thanks

The motor is easy to pull out, 2 bolts, yep, you can leave the cranks and pedals on.
Have you don’t the latest software updates?
Might be worth doing that before pulling stuff out.

Nice looking bike Marty. Love it. (y)

I'm sorry to hear you guys are having a few teething issues. Kind of glad I didn't get a frame. Buying the completed bike and just changing a few parts, my bike has been flawless. Sorry if that sounds smug. It's not meant to be. I'm just trying to say the factory assembled bike has been trouble free.

I did pull the motor out to install the derailleur power cable. Very simple process. You do need to work out if its a cable connection, or sensor pickup issue.

I did replace the rear wheel, but re-installed the same disc rotor and speed ring. And there has been no issues. It came with SRAM Centreline rotors, which I also just happen to fit to the Amflow. Replacing the Magura rotors.

But I did not touch the original wheel or hub. I even left the original tyre and tube in it, so if there was any issue, I could refit the original wheel and compare.

Hope you sort it out mate. (y)

The same happened to me twice now. Really enjoying. SRAM GX T type drive train

So is this also a frame build ? I make this assumption as the GX T-type doesn't come standard on the factory built bikes. The facebook guy also had an older non-factory SRAM transmission, so probably a frame build as well.

This is the facebook guy. That B-Screw gap looks to big to me. But maybe that's right for that particular transmission. The other thing I would note, is he has his chainstay on the 29 setting, where my one is 27.5. The factory full builds come as a mullet, and also come on the 27.5 setting. I'm guessing this would impact the required chain length.

Thank you Astro66..... the error to the sensor has been restored, possibly the plug wasn't completely clipped fully.
It was Friday afternoon l picked up the rig on closing, l downloaded avinox app at home Saturday morning, unbeknown to experience issues.

Can now focus with the vpn and set the bike up, there is a few decent jumps at the local that require pace, councils on board and supplied us to sandstone flagging, having a crew on the day to the new facelift.

Your ride stance confident dropping through the rough, looks to be a good testing ground for the Flux, was this an old creek line trail, offering plenty of tech wash lines, perfect testing ground....

Hope to hit the trails next week, thanks for sharing your ride footages 👍IMG_4785.webpIMG_4769.webpIMG_9040.webpIMG_9040.webp

Glad you got it sorted mate. Look forward to more pics of you launching it off those jumps. This is me launching mine ......

Happy days out on the trails, composed, focussing up ahead, Flux and confident on board, all systems go, loving it!
I took in on dusk, that one and only carpark ride and was greatly appreciating the low the stand over height, seat slammed well out of the way. This bike is so very quiet, the front end comfortable nice higher stack, is this the term to the front end. Stack is higher than my previous bike.... feels ready present to be let loose, wherever gravity trail prevails.

This bike is so very quiet,
This is the big one I noticed. So quiet. The other big one is the squish when landing jumps, rather than a bang. It's like landing on a pillow. It gives you confidence to go a little quicker, and then I don't end up casing any jumps. Especially the smaller gap jumps, which I'm now finding the confidence to just send them.

I still won't do bigger gap jumps. Maybe later if I had someone to tow me in. But at my age. I'm thinking they are just not worth it.

The same happened to me twice now. Really enjoying. SRAM GX T type drive train
Least i'm not alone 🤷‍♂️ but sorry you joined the club!
Did you manage to get the chain back over the idler without pulling the chain apart? Did it fall outboard like mine did ?
